just added another 1.1 btc to the volume, that should cover it. I hope it wasn't all for nothing

Thank you for investing in Sterlingcoin. We are still awaiting a follow-up from Bittrex staff but do feel yours and others efforts will not be to no avail as we have put forward a strong argument to retain listing regardless of the now met volume requirement.

I asked before for some developement and it was because I could see this coming. Poloniex and C-cex would already had delisted SLG. Bittrex is not an bad exchange they just dont want to be an online wallet. Slg have already been saved several times. I have supported it and traded some so it would not get delisted. But now Bittrex have put its foot down and telling that they dont want coins that are sleeping.
Even now there is no road map for some development. There should be something that tells that there is going to be somthing good that will happend to SLG. Not just broken promises.

If SLG gets delisted then its the end for this coin. Cryptopia and Bleutrade dont have any volumes. Bleutrade has very insecure coding. Cryptopia have been telling everybody that they will not delist coins and they will not list scamcoins. Well they have listed some of the worlds worst scamcoins and they are pumping DOT. So nothing are written in stone there.

The future of this coin is not good if it gets delisted from Bittrex. I think most of us can see this and there should be alleast an updated roadmap. Would be good to see some dates

Yes, our ambitions for Sterlingcoin and lack of budget to carry those ambitions to fruition has caused us to miss marks in the past. We did never intend to break promises.

We will look into a new roadmap and do so with realistic expectations based on present situations. We will discuss this tonight/today.

SLG was a very good coin when you started it. You did a lot of work before releasing it. Even now its a working coin. But you have to pay server and ask others to put some trades in. This coin needs some revivel. More ppl need to get in and there need to be some action. Masternods maybe is something that already are in the past of crypto or maybe not. One solution would be to have both PoW and PoS. Let miners come in and start mining some coins again because 4 million coins are a little low. Reward should not be to high so dumping would be a problem. Maybe a change of algo to argon. You have done a lot of coding on your other coins so it would not be that hard. This is just some suggestions.

Hi Steven,

Looks like Sterling is safe.

Thanks,
Bill

Many thanks to all of you that have helped us dodge this bullet, again. I, for one, do realize and accept the obligation this does place on the development team to deliver the revival.

I think you do. I hope the others also want to put in some efforts. Maybe the biggest holder and devs should have a talk about what direction this coin should go. They have the most to lose.

Yes, opinions of direction and/or features of the new wallet would be very valuable at this point. You have brought up some interesting ideas, Rols, and I thank you for that. The one I personally am pondering the most at the moment is having another PoW phase. Not only would this adjust the supply as stated, but the attention minable coins get and retain has value also. Miners discussing the coin could be viewed as free publicity. Others seeing that discussion would be reminded the project is alive. But yes, a lower block reward might help the market absorb all the miner dumps, lessening/slowing the negative price impact. This could also help make the minimum volume requirement not such a repeated obstacle. Certainly an algo change would be needed as X13 is no longer ASIC-resistant.

If anyone has an opinion, on a new PoW phase or other features such as masternodes, please do chime in. Your input is wanted and will be reviewed by the team.

p.s. Yes, ridiculously slow. I understand the forum admins may be flooded with similar issues, so I continue to wait.

I'm a SLG big holders and I'm NOT interested by any concept in diluting my participaton.

Focus on the end user is the way to create value.
Mining is diluting the capital and not the best the way to promote a coin.

Guldencoin (NLG), is the benchmark to follow for the countrycoins.

- Focus on local end user.
https://gulden.com/                            site for the end user
https://developer.gulden.com/           site for the developers and community
- Easy of use wallets
https://developer.gulden.com/roadmap/
- Easy for merchants to join
https://nocks.co/toolbox

I would agree to move to PoW if we start reducing the 5,5% inflaction we have each year.
Reducing 0,5% the interest each year.

About the total available coins, I believe it's too low. SLG is more scarce than Bitcoin.
People will use SLG as their day to day coin.
Real life comparison would be the £60bn in physical notes and coins in circulation.
Taking NLG as comparison:
NLG                    marketcap: $6,068,000              price: 3,044sat               Available coins: 322,160,303 NLG
SLG                    marketcap:      $42,000              price: 1,751sat                Available coins:  3,881,156 SLG

price is growing because of the accumulation and because devs have announced they will be back soon.

As far as I know there is no detailed plan but the objective is to focus in the end user.

The benchmark is NLG, which is focused in Netherlands.

SLG will be the same but for UK and British Islands

I’ve been pondering these issues, and I have to say that I have concluded that pure POS does not seem to be working well for SLG. However, I really hope that no-one is suggesting a change to pure POW; I think that would be a retrograde step for sure.

I’ve always been a fan of hybrid coins (POW/POS) and I reckon that is the way that SLG should go. I think ROLS made that suggestion as well.

The next questions:

Which new algo should be adopted?

I’m no expert in this field, but the algo used by Europecoin looks very interesting.  Could the dev-team evaluate its potential for SLG and then report back?

Masternodes??

What exactly are they?  And what are they meant to achieve?  How would they benefit SLG?
