High btc price is good for all alts as more investment comes into cryptos. Good coins will benefit greatly from this. Also if Sterling stay at same price and btc go up your Sterling is worth more. It's all good news for me.

Starting to loose money on this if the price doesn't start to go up Sad

I would say instead of worrying about the trade price help get more people behind this coin and when they see what is being done they will understand the value within. I don't expect prices to go above 10000 until POW ends unless the team gives us serious announcements we don't know about.

Let me show you example of a coin that is not part of a scam and has real people supporting it, the price was low for long time and then went from 70 sat to 1900 and now stable at 550-650. So price went up almost 10 times but shot up over 24 times but market went into heavy. This is while over 500 000 coins still coming daily. Sterlingcoin can have 50 times rise because only 1000 coins a day when it is only POS. That 70 to 1900 rise for Guldencoin happen within 2 weeks.

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/guldencoin/

Fully agree about Guldencoin. It's a great coin and is an example to every country coin of how to go about things. They were working hard and adding merchants when the price was in the toilet and the team have been engaged and dedicated throughout. They now have 50 merchants accepting Gulden from kids clothes to coffee shops and new merchants are being contacted and added all the time.

I like the look of SLG at face value but I'd like to see more merchants come online before I invest. I wouldn't be too worried about the price for the moment though. The good country coins have enormous potential to the upside over the medium term IMO.

I'd like to ask what is being done to bring more merchants in? Are new potential merchants being contacted regularly?

I wonder if the SLG team have a template that could be released to the community so we could contact merchants ourselves with full details of SLG and how to accept payments easily.

Is there any desire from the devs to make this happen? Afterall, merchant adoption should be the main focus for this coin long term.

In the new wallet release (1.2) I have implemented QWebView for the 'Buy SLG' tab and also using HTTPS JSON calls to get the live price for BTC and conversions for the 'Market' tab.

However these updates are not proving easy for people building wallets in Windows as most wallets do not have these features.

I have spoken with Mammix, Nitrogenetics and various other devs from other coins about the issue and all have the same environments.

Almost 25% of POW completed!! Can Sterlingcoin be another CANN in the future, CANN price was around 500 at the start and look at it today, almost 100 million coins and 4 times the price of SLG.

75% to go of miners who can only afford GPUs constantly dumping out. Should be getting some sub 2000 sat coins over the weekend. Smiley

It is true that you scraping the bottom of the crypto barrel when it comes to the x coins. It's not only that they cater for GPU miners, but GPU miners who are worried about their electricity bill, but in less then 5 months the coin won't have to worry about those basement dwellers only looking to get into btc ASAP and it can grow with the people that want to see it grow.

Personally I would of done Scrypt/POS hybrid because the dev is easier and people with ASICs have more money. Simple fact.

No x13 coin is doing well.

The problem is that they who bought gpu dont have anything else to do with their hardware. So they mine with it and most of them dump to have some money for the electricity bill. I dont think that a scrypt/pos is better beacause there are comming a lot of faster asics on the screen. They will make most of the older asics obsolete. But people will still mine with their old asics. Prices on scrypt coins will be falling.

If the miners would mine less, then the price would be higher, but now everybody have a chance to get some Sterlingcoins at cheap prices. I dont see that this is bad.

Dont buy with money that you cant afford to loose. Wait for the POW ending and it should be fine. This coin is priced many times lower than coins that dont have anything more than pump and dump. So everything points to a bright future. The devs have done great jobs on this coin.
