Hi,

I have a couple of questions!! I have been pooled mining using Dccts miner on ubuntu.

How do i switch back to solo mining?

Actually I've tried dcct miner and found solo mode only...
https://bchain.info/dcct_miner.tgz
I don't know how to use it with pool..
It accepts only one URL (wallet server) and plot dir - so two parameters only...

UPDATE: There must be other version of dcct_miner than URL I listed..

Warning ::

There was a security breach in my burst wallet about an hour back.
As you can see in the screen shot I was having about 818.xx burst in my wallet & about one hour back, someone transferred the whole balance to that burst account BURST-853Y-8F4F-YFXA-F7U3R !! This account has 117'196.76959773 BURST balance !

Dev please find out the culprit & possible solution of this, I was about to complete plotting my 3 TB HDD in next few hours, looks like I must replot them with new account with changed password, damn. As I can see there is no way to change password, but is it possible to change account detail in already plotted files with old account ?

Edit : A quick google search with that Burst ID shows the link to BURST-853Y-8F4F-YFXA-F7U3R - Pastebin.com. What the hell is this ? few pages back someone posted that link on this thread & I might have clicked on that link (Not sure though).

No, my computer has no malware. because the wallet is on mining computer & it's dedicated to mining only. It has something to do with Pastebin.com the receiving address is associated with that website.

I remember now, I clicked on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.msg8809198#msg8809198 posted by the Dev burstcoin to see if my account is there in stuck transactions or not.

Accounts that had funds stuck in transaction were listed in a pastebin.  Most likely you had any easy password and somebody guess it

edit did you have your wallet open and goto the pastebin site?  Probably wouldn't be hard to setup a site to jack your coins if your wallets open....

I doubt that it's malware. All the recent transactions to that address are empting accounts, so he's probably trying to brute force weak passwords. How secure was your password?

if the password is generated by wallet , is it safe ? Perhaps he got a custom password which might be something like "i love burst coin" or "password"  Cool

I haven't received a payout from burstmultipool.com in a very long time, I would love to continue to keep my SHA asics, and other asics when I buy them, but if there aren't going to be normal payouts, then I can't.

Well, yes my password was not that much strong like can't be solved by powerful brute force software. Thanks for you quick reply though. I know the account ID & burst ID are associated with password, now if I change my password to the stronger one like you mentioned in the OP 35+ words etc. etc. it will change my account ID & I will have to replot my entire 3 TB plotting with the new account ID, is that true or there is any way to change account ID in already plotted files ?

P.S. Being the Dev of this coin, do you have any way to reverse those transactions he is sending to that account ? I was lucky that I transferred most of my balance to Polo last night before going to sleep & lost only 800 odds Burst but as that account balance is over 100k Burst I doubt there must be many more people loosing big amounts overnight.

When switching from Pooled to solo mining, is there anything else required other than Reward Assignment?

I am not dumb to set that kind of password, if you can't help, stop posting non-sense, it's a serious matter & I am not the only victim as you can see from the transactions associated with that account.

New password results in a new id, and needs new plots. There is no way to convert plots to a different id.

I have no way of reversing transactions.

i have posted several days before, if some one can guess your password or use computer to crash the password, it will never be save with a website wallet, why can't burst like other coin, can have a local wallet client and save the coin at local hdd?

http://burstdice.ddns.net/

80%, 60%, 40% and 20% chances.
2% house edge since minimum bet is 10 and fee is 1 (10%)
Just send to one address and wait for the result.

I have a couple of questions!! I have been pooled mining using Dccts miner on ubuntu.

How do i switch back to solo mining? I completed the reward assignment with my public address. 18 hours with 12TB and Still no coins.

When I try to use Dcct's miner i get a stupid high time like 187876768452342

Thanks in advance

Well, there should be some solution for reversing transaction at your end & also to change account id in already plotted files. I am lucky I lost only small amount & also I have plots for only 3 TB which takes not more than few days to re-plot but in worst to worst case think about stealing of millions of coins from some exchange's wallet & also re-ploting of 100+ TB files.

BTW how long should be the account ID ? My previous account ID was of 20 numeric digits but with newly generated password, I got one that of 19 digits.

if can be reversed, then burst should be dead, because dev can control the coins as his wish, you chose the easily password, that is your own problem

No blockchained coin has the ability of reversing transactions. Malled MtGox's transactions were not reversed either.

Burst 1.1.2

Updated UI now has encrypted messaging, and DGS.
Block generation bug fixed.

There is no need for exchanges to update.
Pools and solo miners should update.
Other users do not have to update if they don't care about the new ui.
