Alright then. Here we go ... Quick giveawayFirst person to interpret this screenshot and say exactly what is going on is:- A) very clever and B) getting 50 XMG in their wallet just as soon as I know the address to send it to (assuming they are right of course). View the image hereOk. Off you go then ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) if you make your Magic and manage to build a miner that will keep the temp down at high CPU load then you should be renamed SpexxGOD! my CPU is burning if i go high on load. in my native language we would say "we are hanging from your lips", in situations like that. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

View the image hereOk. Off you go then ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) This? You are extracting cpu temp, then make a new miner version that have a function limit cpu usage by temp ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) We knew it when you ask for a cpu temp tool ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Let's make it fast Spexx, we're waiting for your magic ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Not a new miner actually but very close. It is a bolt-on for the Miner Speed Controller and it works. It bloody works! I can control/govern the speed of the miner using the CPU core temperature as a limit. I have got it so good that I can observe changes in the speed of the miner just by opening and closing the window to the room. When the room warms up, the miner slows down. When the room cools down, the miner speeds up. Basically, if SpeedFan can detect and read a temperature sensor somewhere, I can use that to control the speed of the miner. Put that in a negative feedback algorithm and there you are. The CPU never gets any hotter than the level I set it at. Like a thermostat. This, to me at least, has been a Holy Grail sought for a long time. Who would have thought that software designed for controlling fan speeds would be the answer? Even better is that you can choose what temperature to run at - anything you like from absolute zero to stupidly hot - you decide, the software takes care of it. I have only had this running for a day now but it is solid. I tweaked a few things to damp out oscillations and "hunting". I will have a finished article fairly soon. To use it, you will have to install SpeedFan and select the sensor for your CPU - if it is supported. Older CPUs may not have a temperature sensor that can be queried and logged, so this is not a universal solution but virtually all modern CPUs are supported. SpeedFan is rather clever and can detect just about any temperature sensor available anywhere in the machine, like on the CPU, motherboard, GPU card, some I/O cards etc. You can get SpeedFan here:- http://www.almico.com/speedfan.phpThe way I am using it is not actually to control any fan speeds at all (I have manual controls for that) and just use the logging feature to record the CPU core sensor output to a file. My software simply queries the log file periodically to do what it has to do. If you have nothing better to do right now, why not download it and have a play?

Thank you kondiomir, 111magic and joelao95 for answering my questions, from your answers i have now a million new questions (what do you mean Magi has paper wallets!) but for the needs of the draft i am ok (i just need a 10 word description for the first page, less is good in that case).

Hey Folks, We now have a working paper wallet generator. I've used the source from walletgenerator.net and modified their code to work with magi. Now we have the ability to cold store our coins or the ability to give away an offline wallet with some magicoins on it to a friend. The wallet has been tested by my and joelao95, we both have used the generator to get an public and privet key, sent a small amount of xmg to that address. Then after the coins where sent we imported the private key and then received our amount of xmg sent to that address. Please be sure to test it before you use it, send a small amount of xmg to a generated address and the import the private key. How to import the private key to your wallet Open help and choose, in debug go to the tab Console and type importprivkey <Your newly generated private key> The response should look like this if successful ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F8DxFOxO.png&t=663&c=NUFmWu4g7TtaEw) In the image above I use a working key that has been generated with this tool just for this example. If you get any other response for ex. Invalid private key (code -5), this would mean that the generated private key is invalid. The paper wallet generator has been created to work completely disconnected from internet. The recommended way to create a wallet that is going to be used as cold storage is to download the zip file, link to zip, to a clean system, disconnect from the internet, generate the an address and then print the wallet so you have both the public and private key. Do not use print to PDF or take a screenshot and save it on the computer. Keep the printed paper wallet safe, if you loose your private key your coins will be lost and there is no way the get them back. Url to Magi Paper Wallet Generator http://paperwallet.coinmagi.org/Please note that nor I (ex33s) or joelao95 can guarantee that the generated keys are 100% correct. All keys generated during the test have been working perfectly. With this is mind, we can not leave any warranty or guarantee that you will get a working pair of keys from the wallet generator. Many thanks to joelao95 for letting my use one of his subdomain for this wallet. Also many thanks to guys developing http://walletgenerator.net/ wich is the base for our paper wallet generator. Happy cold storing your coins! http://paperwallet.coinmagi.org/The site has been updated, please read https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9477306#msg9477306Special for you thdim. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Also check the updated link. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9477306#msg9477306

As soon as I saw it I thought "gotta be Himalayan - maybe Annapurna" but I could be way off-beam there. I'm pretty sure it's actually in Arizona (in one of the ranges between/near Phoenix and Flagstaff, maybe one of the San Francisco Peaks?). I can't be sure, but it looks very familiar and reminds me of something I saw on one of my past backpacking trips. I also say that because Lightsplasher specifically said "local", and he definitely sounds like a US/West Coast resident in his Magi promo video. But who knows if that's what he meant by local.

Have you consider upgrading CPU heatsink?
No. It's a water cooler and completely adequate. The fans on it are also turned way down during this test - they are inaudible on idle. (It's ok - I do realize that answer was not directed at me) Now see here. I did not turn the fans up. I opened the window and the ambient temperature went down to 22.5 deg C. https://www.dropbox.com/s/j3upxqepzcirhao/fan4.jpg

The link for the source is on the OP, this is the link, and there was an original post about compiling the miner for Mac here on this link. Others may be able to help you more when they come online, but maybe that will give you a start for now. Hope this helps ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
