Litebit.eu is also a place where users can buy crypto for Euro directly with the iDEAL payment system that is used in The Netherlands. Would be great to have XMG there. If LitePaid enables XMG, the combination of the 2 is very good.
can we start introducing these features for magi and why it impacts us?

Once XMG can be bought fast and easy directly with Euro (€) on Litebit.eu, XMG can attract a lot more buyers and users; the users that are not into mining and exchanges but do like to acquire coins. Litepaid is a platform that can be used by merchants who like to accept coin-payments for their products and services. Both are external services, so not really features of Magi, but if these services should include XMG, that could contribute to the success of XMG. Note: I am not involved with the mentioned services, but I am using both services as a buyer and a merchant.

can we start introducing these features for magi and why it impacts us? I haven't seen that they officially accepts Magi yet so I would wait until that happens. The impact for us when they accept magi is easier for merchants accepting Magi and get fiat currency from buys but this also means it's much easier for people to get Magi from fiat currencies too. Thus giving a much larger footprint for Magi.

There is no help whatsoever and it seems as though users are just expected to know what to do. I posted something yesterday but never saw anything else on it and have not seen anything else on it since either. Now I'm afraid to type anything for fear that I might be making myself look stupid

Joelao was just laying down the standard functions of the tip-bot that is inside of the channel. One key note is to make sure your IRC username is registered so you can accept the XMG that is sent to you in the chatroom. Joelao and his fellow staff members send XMG to everyone periodically throughout each day through the tip-bot in the IRC chat!

A wiki/FAQ might help at this point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chathttp://www.freenode.net/faq.shtmlFor whatever reason, IRC is still popular. It's like something where you can find a person next to you.

Very basic usage of IRC, this should get you started if you are unfamiliar with IRC. All commands for IRC start with an "/" so if a line starts with that it's going to be handled as a command and not text that you want to send. Any other characters will be interpreted as an message / text. Some basic commands and how to use IRC.
<Text> | This is going to send that text to your current active window. Example of text sent private Example of text sen to a channel As you can see there's very little difference between a chat room (Channel) and private message to someone
| /me <Text> | This is going to be shown in the channel for everyone, it's for something you do. The output of /me loves Magi is going to be "ex33s loves Magi" How /me looks like
| /msg <IRC-Nickname> <message> | This is going to send a message to that irc nickname. How private message looks like Please note that it's not until they respond you get an private window like the example image above
| | To use our IRC bot (m-bob) you'll need to have an registered nickname on IRC and here's how that's done, we actually recommend your register your nickname, this way if someone has your nickname you can force them to change nickname.
| /msg nickserv register <Nickname> <Email> | This will start the process of registering your nickname on the current IRC network, follow the instructions sent to you mail and on the screen to complete the registration. The start of the registration process Follow the instructions sent to your mail. My instructions for completing the registration. When completed all steps it's going to look like this
| Using Nickserv | After the registration I recommend that you set the enforce flag for your nickname, this will make anyone that tries to use your nickname without identify himself (More about identify below) with password to change his nickname to something else. This is what enforcement looks like
To identify your self with nickserv you haft to type "/msg nickserv identify <Your Password>", Here's for my demo account
To learn more what commands that are available and how to use them can be found out by "/msg nickserv help", this will list all available commands and howto get help for a specific command.
This is a very basic howto use IRC, Dive deeper in to using IRC
