Pmsl. Priceless! I still don't get it though. People donate coins ... so I can just grab them and walk away What do I have to do to deserve that? So will I be donating any coins? Absolutely not! To me this sounds as pointless as "proof of burn". I must be missing something somewhere ... Maybe I should smoke something green and it might begin to make sense This is wow: http://faucet.xeno-genesis.com/Side effects: get traffic on their site like the above one; I would keep clicking the faucet Looks simple but good. Not messed with a lot of ads. btw, do you have some free ressources on your Magi webserver in order to create services like Faucet, Multipool and so on there. Yes, my servers can host many stuffs if you like, and any domains available upon your request, hosted in either my server or domain vendor, any ideas along that? At present 3rd party services are ok. But with the time, we should do that "on our own" instead of trusting other people. There's a provider for multipools (mine other coins, get paid in i.e. XMG). But he charges afaik 2 BTC one time and the 2% pool fee. Example: http://thepool.pw/EXCL/Tools like multipool, faucet, block explorer, classifieds/market and so on could be added to the main site as a subdomain faucet.cryptomagic.com, ...

Right, having these will be nice, especially the multipool. I have faucet.cryptomagic.com working before, I might bring it up sometime; btw is this one http://multipool.bit.diamonds/ same as the one you posted?

Oh yes. If Brian May keeps practicing, then one day he might be as good as me (I have been playing guitar for over 40 years). One thought about your "spare" hosting capacity - a repository for XMG software resources in one place might look more professional than the various places we have atm. I use Dropbox for my distributions, but would prefer to have them hosted on a "named" place for kudos.

I agree. Your website http://cryptomagic.com already contains a "get started" section. Or create a new menu "mining" and next to tutorials put the tools there.

The site is outdated; I am working on the site and will make it work more efficiently, with guide, downloads etc up; so people can get more information from there. I will drop him a message and see how this is going; running pool more or less get my vps server/vendor complaining about that. Edit, is this pool a reasonably good one, since the thread was opened in August, but only few posts there; also can't see any complaints since thread is self-moderated.

Ok. In case he won't do, there's a great pool software that soon launches a multipool feature. Don't know what server specs are required but I can find out (don't think a huge box will be needed for some Scrypt and probably some SHA256 coins).

I found it when looking for a EXCL pool. Don't know more about it but will keep my eyes open. Just had another idea, probably even better. Coinking.io is a well known multipool and provides payouts in different coins (they usually exchange all 6 hours). Maybe talk to them if they would add XMG as payout option. This way you have no additional work.

The problem with pools is the high rate of DDOS attack that is the most concern.

Currently exchanges are being attacked regularly, btw. Yes, as far as I know Coinking is DDoS protected but that could be discussed. I have just the ideas, you are the one who decides which way to go Do you know if there are any active XMG community members from china?

Quite so. One thing they share in common is a never-ending learning process. The beauty of it is that you only ever get better at it

I recently read that China plays an important role in the crypto worls. So there must be dedicated chinese mining pools. chinese miners probably prefer them more. It's just a thing to find that out and find a "representative"/pool operator for that audience.

I heard blocknet is a scam ... so popular things are sort of making people additions to that, get things boring, and comes with scams too likely. I would say rm -rf *net

It's just a thing to find that out and find a "representative"/pool operator for that audience. That's the point. We are still lack of sufficient promotions of XMG and XMG is yet to have "big" exchange, which are quite critical to get the coin and miners a hype. Despite this, the multipool will be a good start for people who want to get XMG by mining scrypt/x11 coins. The problem with the China market is there are so many coins that people won't trust any incoming coins. Based on what happened to the subforum, XMG may get an opportunity, while we'll need sort of good promotion strategy.

I'm looking forward to trying Tor wallet soon. I keep hearing many anon supporters talking about its potential. Any tips for someone who knows nothing about it?
What is it? Why is it important?
