Hi , I have a suggestion for the community to discuss , you have probably heard of the sync assets programm and how they hold some altcoins which they will sell at some point and give the profit to the holders in the profit sharing programm http://syncfund.com/assets.html

My idea is to start a fund holding altcoins for bitstar as well , the fund would get started by community donations and it would always be clear how many and which coins are being held , the profits would directly be put into the bitstart programm to fund further development of the coin.

To give an incentive to the person handling the trading part to do their best this person could receive ?5%? of the weekly earnings.

I myself am pretty good at finding high quality coins because I check the ann thread daily and have seen every single coin release in the last 3 months , also I keep up to date with the threads of about 10 different coins and always check my Twitter for potentialy exploding coins.
When deversifying I never had a week of trading were I made a deficit compared to the last week ... until my email account got hacked and all my coins were stolen and I had to restart with the little amount of btc I got from doing translations and joining giveaways , now I went all in with bits btw.

There could also be a "bankfunction" where one pays in x btc and can claim them back anytime +?50%? of the profits.

The Problem with this idea is that there is no assurance for the community that the person assigned to handle this fund wont just run off with the coins if the dev just holds all the funds they cant quickly be sold off if a coin suddendly decides to crash , if you like the idea we would need to find a: maybe a good daytrader as I have not mastered the art of finding good entries and exits or playing the waves b: a possibility to make sure the trader doesnt steal the coins while also allowing him to make quick trades.

I already contacted the dev about this and he generally likes the idea , however he is currently unable to code a system for that because there are tons of important things on his to do list right now.

If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we could maybe make this work feel free to post them , it would realy be a good thing because the more funds we have the better things we will be able to crowdfund.

If I were to set up a portifolio right now I would put in : Storjcoin , Checkcoin , Pinkcoin , Viacoin , Nxxtycoin , Saffroncoin ,  Synccoin , maybe Xennet and VPN if they give some information on when they actually launch etc , I would add Greenbacks and Bitcoindark once they went down a bit
By realy spreading out your portifolio like that the overall btc holdings would not just explode at one point but there would be a continual rise because all of those coins will very likely have a big succes at some point.

Btw if you have time also write emails to big exchanges and ask them to add us , write on the casheer forum and also start looking for developers who would like to be crowdfunded , as I have understood it the bitstarsystem is basically ready to be used.

If anyone comes up with an idea on how to keep the person holding the coins from running away with them we could start a campaign on bitstart , in theory I would be willing to share my real ID with the dev however this could in theory be faked as well and I would be realy afraid of getting hacked again and loosing all the funds

If you know any service that does basically anything for altcoins ask them to add us , every service we can get on is something that brings the coin further , if you are asked what bitstarcoin has to offer , feel free to copy this text.

About the developer , I think he posted at some point that he / the team consists of 3 people.
He is somewhat of a perfectionist , meaning he does not release anything until it is realy working and he always thouroughly tests new features for some time with a couple of people before releasing them (I was one of a couple of people who had early acces to the p2p exchange before release to test it) and he always likes to have some unique touch to the features and not just make it the same way it was already done by many other coins.
The dev is also concerned about the investors , he does not cause pump and dumps by giving certain release dates and hyping the features which results in more price stability and rewards anyone who puts trust in him.
The best thing in my oppinion is that he is very open to suggestions , I asked him for a couple of things and they were either implemented or put on the to do list , anomity was added only because the community liked to see it , it was not hyped either it just "appeared" in the wallet after an update without people knowing he even worked on it.
He is online very often and usulay replies pretty quick , everytime I had a question or suggestion he replied , helped me and often tried to do what I asked / hoped for.

What makes this coin stand out from others is the p2p inwallet fiat exchange , it basicaly allows you to put up an order to either buy or sell coins at a certain price and people willing to buy can do so , off the market.
There are 8 different payment methods including : bank transfer , western union , okpay and others , what , this is something that has never been done in crypto and brings a whole new level of trading and makes it easier for people coming into crypto to get coins , they do not need to learn how to use an exchange and they do not need to get bitcoins first , which also helps to tie the coins price to fiat instead of bitcoin which could make it more stable.

Another so far unique thing is the upgraded Bitstart function , which is basically in wallet crowdfunding.
If someone can develop something for bitstarcoin , he can start a funding "campaign" in the wallet , every user can now invest coins , those coins are released to the developer once the product is finished , if a certain deadline is not met the coins go back to the wallets the were sent from.
Quote from the dev from yesterday : "Yesterday we rewrote the BitStart system so it can provide refunds if targets are not met (ready for the next stage).
So maybe we should add projects like this with a time limit on them."

The wallet also has a realy nice interface , in the services tab you can easily select different features : the p2p fiat exchange , a function that shows you the current price on different exchanges , a block explorer , the bitstart system , the coins stats , the multipool , an irc chatroom , and a help function allowing you to create tickets and answering frequently asked questions.

About the history : ( I can not give very accurate informations about this because I just got into this coin about a month ago , however I will try to give you somewhat of a timeline )
This coin launched about 4 months ago , as a 1 month scrypt into 35% pos coin , with no significant features , it always had a low marketcap and volume and some features like the multipool and the anon function were added somewhere along the line.
The price slowly started to decline until the dev said that the new feature would soon be released , after that there was some more time of developing and testing and after that the service tab with all its functions was added to the wallet.

The roadmap currently is to start the crowdfunding , we are currently looking for good coders and developers who are able to code something for the coin , jl777 from nxt and btcd said that if we get the coin on the nxt asset exchange he would be willing to code , we are currently trying to get on there , from the looks of it it should not be too hard , however I do not know anything about nxt or coding so do not quote me on that Cheesy

Quote from: exoton on August 23, 2014, 04:54:03 PM
Hi , I was wondering if you would consider developing something for bitstarcoin when the bitstart system comes out , which is essentially an inwallet crowdfunding option.

you could get a large amount of coins which would then quickly rise in value and the coin gets new features Smiley
if you get you coin using NXT Asset exchange using MGW, then it would be possible
https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=4007.0

We might also soon be added to the casheer app which would be a huge step for bits as it would make it easy to pay with bits.

Quote from: Sic840 on August 24, 2014, 06:24:36 PM
Looks like Casheer has heard our request. They are considering adding bits. Said they would like to see more support from bitstar community. Please bug them! Also they mentioned US adding a bitstar to their forums. The louder we are the more they will flock. We have the coin. We have the community. It's up to us to take this to the next level. I will work hard this week pushing bits. Great job guys keep it up!!!!

It is possible that we might be added to the gambling site bitstars.net at some point somewhere in the future which would also be nice since there is a ton of volume on there and due to the similiar name a lot of people on there would notice bitstarcoin and its features.

i have contacted them ( live chat ) and shared my email with them, i will get an official response from them. probably by tomorrow.

that response i will post here.

they were already aware of the coin  Roll Eyes

Hi thisisit,

After our talk, here is where we stand at the moment:

"At Bitstars.net we’re working hard to continue to excel and provide the best user experience for our players. The same stands for anyone who simply likes that element of fun while playing in a casino that offers some of the best games around.

Bitstars will continue to add new games and functionalities that we are very excited about. The addition of new currencies and altcoins are also in the pipeline as part of the future plans, although it is still too early to specify the exact currencies that will be added.

In saying this, since we are already fully aware of all the benefits of the bitstar coin, this is one the coins that we will surely be putting on the list that we are going to evaluate internally before taking any final decisions."

Cheers,

Nick
Bitstars.net - Follow the Stars

I have contacted coinsis which is currently developing the coinsis bitcoin credit card and maybe we could be added on there somewhere in the future , however I have not spoken with them for more the like 3 sentences so this is pure speculation.

While the comunity is doing this the dev is helping on everything that has to do with coding (like getting on the nxt asset exchange , finishing and stting up btistart etc.) and he is working on the bitstar tracker.
This project is to create a tracker for all bitstar projects, it will allow users to view what we are working on, and what we work on in the future.

quotes :

Quote from: Bitstar_coin on August 24, 2014, 07:02:08 PM
I'm currently working on something to give users unprecedented access to the way the coin develops as well as making our coding effort far more efficient, it will hook up with the Bitstart system too.  Hoping to have it live in 1-2 days.  I just added to the bitstart system so you can see progress

Quote from: Bitstar_coin on August 25, 2014, 02:20:57 PM
Quote from: exoton on August 25, 2014, 01:51:05 PM
lows are getting higher forming an ascending triangle , good things are being worked on and the comunity is pretty enthusiastic about the innovative faetures , once the volume starts going up the price will fly away , which in my oppinion should be soon since people are trying to accumulate by making a little barrier at around 1k

Yes, I have some volume dependant features waiting to be made.  One of them will be so you can pay for items/orders with Bitstar at places that already take payments in Bitcoin, but as always I also plan on expanding it further.

Some other ideas I'll be keeping to myself for now also.

Somewhere in the future the dev also plans to release an ecomerce platform where you can sell / buy real products within the wallet which will also give the user the possibility to be paied out in fiat.

Also at some point all the things in the bitstar tab will be done , those are : (the ones not mentioned somewhere above yet) Upgrade the official website , In wallet games/gambling , In wallet crypto exchange via API , In wallet forums , Update the multipool , SMS wallet / Tip system and an Android
wallet.

Meanwhile the developers who got crowdfunded will also work on something.

As far as I understand it the stage 1 wallet was the wallet in its previous form (without the service tab)
the stage 2 wallet is the current wallet which will constantly get new features added to it.

From the perspective of an investor fiat wallets are a huge deal , the p2p inwallet fiat exchange is basically localbitcoins in a wallet , local bitcoins has a monthly volume of about 2 million $ per month and is many peoples favorite way to aquire btc , if bitstarcoin can just get a fraction of localbitcoins recognition there would be an imense price increase.

As I am not the developer I can not realy say too much about the premine or the Mentelity foundation ,
from the op I gathered the informations that 800k was spent for Giveaways via bounties, irc and multipool (50%)  and 400k (25) was spent on the development of unseen advanced coin features.
About the other questions I can just say that I trust the dev to do the right things with the premine , if he wanted to scam anyone he could have easily done so months ago.

The community can be active on the casheer forum until we get added , find new investors , merchants , traders etc , raise awareness on social media , stake their coins to ensure a safe network (and enjoy 35% pos) , contact exchanges to add us , find developers to code something with the bitstart system and generally do anything that one usulay does for their coins.

My personal thing to share with the community : please do all of the above as I have been trying to Cheesy

Of course I am not the developer so you might also want to check back with him since I do not want to claim anything wrong and he might give you more detailed information on things like the coins history.
