Everyone I explain this to is like "Holy Shit!"
This is gonna be huge.  Does anyone have any idea when the IOS version is scheduled to be released?
Didnt they say they had already done a ton of work on the iOS version?

I think they are waiting for Telegram to update the iOS source:
https://telegram.org/source

I would like confirmation of that from the Gems team. Waiting on another party to update for Gems iOS could means months till its done?
Time for a basic development plan report, problems and all I think.

Yes we need an update regarding this .

If Telegram will update their source code (matter of few minutes) it will save us ALOT of work. Currently we have a direct line of communication with Telegram and even though they promised to update (with no ETA), we aren't waiting and are moving ahead with the iOS development independently.

Why can not I log in counterparty. This is the message: " No counterparty servers are currently available. Please try again later. ERROR: The server is not fully caught up to the blockchain. Please logout and try later. (Most likely this message is due to the server being updated.) " This puts into question my safety. I do not feel safe with GEMS. Counterparty server does not work and so I did not have my GEMS. I do not like this whole GEMS. Peled1986 voice heard. The application also do not mix.

Counterparty are probably doing an update, also in their recent board notes, the devs speak about desktop wallet being a priority.

If you do not like them, you should sell them.

That said, your GEMS aren't stored by counterparty servers, they are stored on the bitcoin blockchain. You could probably also create a script to spend them with a normal bitcoin client to, if you were so inclined.

Even if counterwallet dissapeared one day, as long as you remember your 12 word passphrase you can always retrieve your addresses and corresponding private keys using a tool like https://blockscan.com/tool_generatekey

Just the 12 word passphrase to remember sucks, why not beign able to set an normal password also, you HAVE TO write 12 words somewhere in order to remeber them but not the password.

You don't have to remember it at all, the app allows you to save it to pictures and you can back it up how you want. A normal 4 digit password is used when you want to send btc/gemz.

Yesterday when i downloaded the app i didn't see and option of backing it up as a picture and somehow the app didn't even connect me in the righ way. It didn't accept my 4 digit password, doesn't matter what numbers i selected.

I think it asks you if you have an existing account or new one, when it gives you the 12 word passphrase it allows you to save it to photos, right underneath you can see that.

If you're actually remembering these passwords you're plainly doing it wrong.

All your wallets should have different passwords.

I strongly suggest you look at using a service such as lastpass or some form of password store/encrypted file store that offers two factor authentication to store your passwords otherwise you're really putting yourself at risk of not only forgetting/misplacing passwords but having all your accounts at risk from a single password.

Even passwords I used to use 5-6 years ago that are not listed in any dictionary and I am 100% sure I have only ever used show up in brute force dictionaries now (7+ alphanumerical characters). Websites you don't use for a long time do get hacked.
