It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Thank God people think like that! Please sell your equipment! If you can only think in BTC terms then you are better shut down your machines!

I made 0.025BTC/day with 500Ghs this month! Thats 0,75BTC/month! If you know how and what to mine then the possibilities are infinite!

that is great return,p2pool ?
really hope s4 is around lower than 1 USD per GHs

The problem is, 1 USD per GH/s is over priced..

1 psu maximum of 1200watts is only economically viable way to make the miner. Downclock the current chip enough and youll have 2th miner.

I will save you some wasted times: You're in UK, you're not gonna make any money by mining.

Because I am in the UK? I rent a property from a friend and I am fortunate enough not to have to pay for electricity.

I understand the current difficulty, but I would still like to give it a go.

Yes, even with free electrity....(btw dont call your landlord a friend when you're clearly ripping him off).

I've seen suckers like you come and leave so many times.

4 months from now, you will become a hater and troll this forum.....Use that money and spend or invest into something you really care about.

I only wanted some help with my question about import / duties cost per S4.

Sometimes I wonder if new miners / newbie posters are afraid to post or ask questions
because they may not fit in with people that have more knowledge / posts.

ImogenV, I'm in the UK and have ordered a few S1's and S3's over the last 12 months. The last two batches of S3's (bought in pairs) import and VAT cost £80 for the 1st pair and £110 for the 2nd pair.

At the time the S3's were sold in pairs and cost 1.48 BTC for the 1st order on 2nd July and 1.286 BTC for the 2nd order on 31st July with BTC at around $500 at the time.

I also choose to go with DHL as you can at least rack where/when they will arrive.

Hope that helps you some Smiley

If you get stuck on anything PM and I will help you if I can Cheesy

Bitmain are probably waiting for the Btc price to rise back to $450 before they announce pricing and specs.

Ironic that by mining with the equipment themselves and selling on the majority of coins mined in there super farms they are devaluing the coins. Would probably make more money by having smaller mining operations themselves and selling the stock to the public, as at least most home miners tend to hold onto a percentage of coins mined, which in turn helps to add upward pressure onto the Bitcoin price.

yeah but greed is tough and getting 3 eggs from the goose each day instead of 2 eggs is very tempting.

Will the firmware in these support p2pool?

Also, Please ensure the firmware contains the latest version of cgminer - no more security vulnerabilities!!!

Rinse/repeat.

Some kind of response would be very much appreciated Bitmain.........

yep  but they may feel the market got shaken and selling this for 1000 usd would further hurt the market.

So they mine with it instead.  Big diff jump has happened lately.

Maybe this does 900 watts and 2th. Maybe it is a  killer piece of gear.      the s-2 did about 1.1 watts  the s-1 did 2 watts.

the s-3 does .77 watts  maybe this does .45 watts  ……  When price tanked I think they did not want to release a piece of gear that good.
