Just so I'm clear... I've been away for a little while. The best way to secure the move into this new fork is for all of us, particularly large holders like myself, to have the new wallet open and staking going into Block 830,000, right? ~25 hours from now? Yes, the wallet stakes by default so you have to manually turn off staking to not stake. The interest rate will be high initially until an equilibrium is reached. In testnet, this took several days. So you should see some good earnings right after 830k. -Steve Thank you Steve! One suggestion (just a thought..)- in next release we might want to add a note on the pop-up window that appears when turning off staking, as well as when exiting the wallet application altogether - some reminder that running the wallet application with staking turned on increases the SLR blockchain stability. Thanks!

Hi Guys,
Just to clarify something...
In order to stake, the wallet program needs to be open but it can still remain encrypted. We do not need to remove the passwords in order to stake. Is that correct?

That is correct. There's really not anything to do but run the wallet and wait for 400 more blocks.

SolarCoin Community,
Please do not move coins to exchanges or exchange any coins until we have confirmed that all exchanges have updated to 2.0.1. You may move your coins off the exchanges to stake them, but please do so BEFORE we hit height 830000. I have seen, all too often, people trying to move coins after a hard fork only to have them lost because the exchange was on the wrong chain.
~6 more hours!
Thanks, Steve

I saw that. They said they updated, but I'll need to see what happened. -Steve Wallet is stuck in an infinite loop or not responsive with 100% CPU usage. I've killed the daemon, restarting now. Just noticed some files have changed in the github repo, but not the version, should I recompile? edit: daemon still non responsive to RPC, 100% CPU usage, debug.log shows connection attempts though
