Will have my Batch 8 S7s added here tomorrow. Nice to see so many guys from the S7 thread here.
Just ordered one this weekend, too. So excited. Been saving for months. Between the price drop of the unit and the rise in BTC price, it's time!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Just did a web update - without needing a restart. The workers page now includes a checkbox at the top to show the details of the Invalids shown. It's always off by default, you just click the checkbox to see the details. Off by default, coz yeah it takes up a lot of space.
However, I'm about to do a ckdb restart. This is mainly just a fix for the 3 shifts that had the wrong values displayed for the PPS values, and I've added a command to tell ckdb to fix it if it ever happens again (which prolly wont happen again) You can still see them at the moment, shifts: "5ogcm mutsumi", "5og7t lucy" and "5og2t kosaki" They'll show the correct PPS after the restart. Again, that has no effect on rewards, it's just a calculated number to be displayed on the web site.
CKDB restart, will (as almost always) have no effect on mining. Will be in the next few minutes and as usual be about 15-20 minutes of lots of "?" on the web site.
Working for me now! Thanks for the hard work!

Well, that took a bit longer than expected. No miners were affected. Had a few ckdb restarts but the web site is all back up again. I think the actual cause was a sudden hash rate increase just before the end of the 1st reload. Solution was another change to ckdb to stop it loading too much history and that's all working well now. Hash rate has also gone up to a bit over 4.8P now

I'll do a ckpool restart in about 14-16 hours (I'll post here again before I do it) This will hopefully stop the few miner left who are throwing a large amount of hi diff shares at the pool and causing the exaggerated pool invalid rates shown in the top left. I'm warning everyone well in advance this time so you'll know if your miners start beeping, why they did It's the usual: most miners will see a simple reconnect in cgminer, but a smaller % of miners will fail over then fail back.

Thanks Kano,
I had to take a break. I just sent out maybe 50 PM's. I will send out more tomorrow. I started with page 1076 and went back to page 1071 and completed it on a particular pool forum. I'll start tomorrow on page 1070 and work back to page 1061. I plan on doing 10 pages each day until I get all the way back to about page 900 or maybe 800. Surely, that should help get some more to come over. All I can do is ask and they say yes or no.
I'm getting responses to my PM's already. Gotta go.

Thanks Yeah I'm not much of a 'convince people to mine here' person. Of course it is better to have more miners and a higher hash rate, but I'm fine with letting people decide without me telling them. But yeah if you want to, that's certainly a good thing for everyone here

As I've said a few times One day - in a galaxy far far away - dust will be distributed. I did take a step in that direction not long ago. Someone had been mining on the pool for a while but didn't setup a payout address. So he'd gathered over 1BTC of 'dust' - yeah not dust, but just there was no where to pay it originally. So to pay that I wrote some scripts that looked at the pool wallet and created a transaction based on the wallet 'dust' addresses with the appropriate settings to avoid having too much input dust. I actually sent it using the pool as a free transaction and seem to have got it all correct so the the pool's bitcond didn't ignore it. Anyway, it made it into our block after that - so was all good. But yeah that's one of the 2 parts to being able to pay dust totals. ... though still not sure when I'll get the other half done of actually accounting in ckdb the outstanding balances.
