Block 388647!
Avocado dip worked! Is there anything that avocado and chicken can't do? I tried plugging a network cable and 12v power supply into an avocado, but it did not produce any valid shares. Maybe I'll try again with a chicken!

Block 388647!
How did you get notified so fast? I always wonder about that, I get notified from my pool monitor, just curious what other people do? I win If I don't see that, my desktop plays a tune within 20s ... sorta like pavlov's bell to me Then my 2 mobiles and my iPad play a little twinkle noise, and usually last is the email notification popup I send to myself. ... oh and the pool wallet tray notification and a transaction popup also

I've updated the Help->Payments page to add a new paragraph about the 'ramp' and it now includes a calculation for roughly how long 5Nd is. https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout+1

I wasn't relying on the power of the avocado, I supplied it with 12v. I think maybe the avocado needs to be shielded. Next time I'll try stuffing it in a chicken. Should the chicken be dead or alive?

Actually it depends on country where this avocado grown. There are some 12v and 24v avocado's forks available.

I have noticed that the sometimes the pools web page sees a block change before blocktrail or blockchain It always does The web page will show the block immediately after we get the share (before we know for sure it is a block). That timestamp on my screen capture is when ckpool got the reply from bitcoind saying yep we're all good with this. There's a timestamp just before it when ckpool gets the share and sends the block to bitcoind. Like -ck shows in the solo thread: [2015-12-16 13:53:46.122] Possible block solve diff 143491683333.400909 ! [2015-12-16 13:53:46.388] BLOCK ACCEPTED! [2015-12-16 13:53:46.389] Solved and confirmed block 388647 by melancon_004
That's the 2 times (line 1 and line 3) when ckdb will know about it and at that point (line 1) ckdb will will show that on the web page. Thus the ckdb console version of that was: [2015-12-16 13:53:46.140+11] blocks_add(): BLOCK! Status: New, Block: 388647/...00007a994f429b96 Diff 143G UTC:2015-12-16 02:53:46.122628+00 [2015-12-16 13:53:46.141+11] BLOCK! ok Diff 181.4% (143491683333/79102380900.2) melancon_004 Pool 31432780935.0 31.4G 39.74% [2015-12-16 13:53:46.408+11] blocks_add(): BLOCK! Status: 1-Confirm, Block: 388647/...00007a994f429b96 Diff 143G Reward: 25.205787, Worker: melancon_004, ShareEst: 31433120584.0 31.4G 39.74% UTC:2015-12-16 02:53:46.389092+00
So yeah it took ckdb 18ms to know about it (and it would display it then on the web site) The middle one is ckdb itself checking the diff value passed by ckpool The 3rd line is when ckdb got the confirm from ckpool - 19ms
