hey kano since you are really active here... what is the benefit of using extranonce, if any? more importantly would you have it turned on or off while mining on your pool?

Options to change that from a miner are not relevant to bitcoin mining. We don't have that in master cgminer nor does the pool require it for any reason.

It kills me how people don't go back and read any prior pages before posting, if they did they would see Kano as well as others have explained how payouts here are calculated. They would also see how others as well as myself have stated how if you mine long enough to reach the 500% mark that with our current luck (for lack of a better word) payouts will be more than anywhere else. If they would have read they would have also seen that if you are they type of miner that needs a payout as soon as a block is found or some type of glitzy GUI then by all means mine somewhere else. If you are the type of miner that wants a transparent honest pool that pays very well where the developer actually is involved in the pool's thread and takes the time to read and answer posts then by all means mine here. Ok, I am through ranting just get tired of same type of post every few days when all the poster had to do is take the time to read the thread.

Sorry wasn't meant for your quote. Remoted in to desktop and have some serious lag. Grabbed wrong post. Went back and edited.

Hey Kano, Have you added support for AMT Prisma's and Tubes yet? I recall seeing something but don't want to bother Sidehack if they're not suppoted. For some reason I can't access them remotely.
Thanks

sjc1490 for a second i thought it could've been then N in the payment equation or something and i was even more confused than before. posting the payment links never hurts, because people always seem to struggle with the 500% thing.

I have only been on this pool for a few days, but based on the payouts I have been getting I ran some quick numbers. My payouts are ranging between 0.014 BTC/TH/Day and .028 BTC/TH/Day. These are very rough number I know, especially for only a couple days. I'm hoping when Kano gets the payouts working on the pool's site there will be a way to access them with the api and I can graph them on my monitor site ( http://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com) and I'll be able to see a rolling average. That would be the type on information that might help to keep people on the pool. Show them that after several days the payouts will be higher. I used to pick my pool by using http://poolpicker.eu/table?algo=sha-256The best rate showing on there right now is 0.0125 BTC/TH/Day so I am definitely doing better than that on here.

+1 Good pool luck recently ... brace yourself ... this week should statistically be 'rocky' But then again, this pool always surprises

I've only been on a couple days with 2.1TH. I'm trying to understand the 500% thing.

Agreed, sic...
However, I don't think their English was very well.
That may be why they were ignorant of their payout being low the first time.
Well they'll get a surprise if they keep getting paid after they leave

let me ask this to hopefully clear up the question for people... the last 500% thing, is that in regards to the overall *current* difficulty of 40,640,955,017. so essentially you're paying for a miner's share % over the last 203.xxx billion or so pool shares?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg10108762#msg10108762But basically, each share you get is paid (0, 1, or more times) in each block found 5N (500% Network difficulty) after you submit the share. If every block was found at exactly 100%, then each share would be paid 5 times, 1/5 of the expected payout amount for that share. It reaches full payment at that 500% point (and gets no more after that) So, basically, your payout for each share is spread over time in the future (500% Network difficulty). Once you have been mining for 5N (500% Network difficulty) each payout will have shares through the whole payout period approximating to your hash rate so each payout will match pretty closely to what you'd expect for your hash rate. Once you stop, you still receive (decreasing) payouts for the blocks found in the 5N (500% Network difficulty) after you stopped (Edit: as the remaining shares fall off the end of the 500% payouts)
