Kano;
When you posted in another thread about the percentages that you believe bitmain pools are controlling, did you use their advertised hashrate from their sites or base it on something like that last 2,000 blocks? (or some other metric that would make sense)

The Regional coordinator is a long-time acquaintance, a retired cop and combat veteran from back in my day. He snagged me last week. I did a number of years of disaster services mgt (volunteer) w/Red Cross here, but had been looking for something a bit different. Mining will help w/deployment expense when it happens. There's a reason for everything.

2 places - though they are both owned by Bitmain blocktrail and btc.com They show pool % based on coinbase sigs (which it would be hard to fake those stats since anyone can see the coinbase sigs)

I'm new to mining I only bought one 11ghs it go's up to 20ghsmax gekkosience thumb drive to test and see if i want to invest more. so is a dust payment a low payment for small little miners like at this hash rate? And do i have to wait till a good enough payment amount on this pool to get payments to my wallet if so what is it like 0.01? ...But being someone who only has 11ghs-20ghs to put in is there a way it adds up over a month into a payment...
With 11gh, you might earn .01 over the next 20 years. Right now at current block difficulty 11gh should earn someone an entire 0.00000464BTC per day or 0.0016936BTC per year. and thats not takeing in to account that a year out would have even higher difficulty and less per day then one can expect to average right now per day week or month. and no fees were figured in to that either. My calculator gives you the option to estimate a typical diff change, every 2016 blocks, over a period of time. So using the 4% default and 365 days, the estimate says ... ~ 0.00105408 BTC Heh yeah not much for a year's effort http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.phpfrankly those sticks do not belong here. I would mention the few pools they should be in but I don't think that would be polite . So if you have tiny miners under 50gh pm me And I will tell you pools to use. Or leave them here and donate the hash. Dust has not been paid since the pool started. Kano is upfront and has said one day he will do dust.. but that day has yet to come. I've been using a simplified the formula for dust threshold; 8 x Pool Hash (in PHs). 8 x 73 = 584GHs. It should work until next halving. I was thinking http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php page would be a good place to have the official computed value for quick reference.

@kano would it be possible to add a minimum hash rate by the dust payments to show users what hash rate is needed to avoid getting only dust? maybe use an average block size of 13.5BTC and this formula should do it Pool hashrate x 0.0001(dust threshold) )/13.5(or whatever average block size you decide) This will avoid users from mining with hash rates below the dust threshold and stop the questions from people of why they didn't get paid out. I'm sure those with hash rates below 1TH will find this useful

Always nice to have 2 blocks during dinner wittali S9v2 (3 payouts) blockmines S9v2 (1 payout) Indeed! Great meeting up with the legendary kano and breaking bread. Block alerts going off on your phone during dinner was a nice musical accompaniment. I still say we got to get a meet and greet going in Oz someday with all of the unusual suspects! To use the vernacular, dinner with kano was bonzers!
