Perhaps because of increased pool hash-rate. But an increase in pool hash, overall, means less variance in block-finding.

There was a DE node outage at 22:22 UTC for 15 minutes.
The VM server at the provider was off for 5 minutes (without any warning)

About 2/3 of the miners seemed to fail over to the NL node so they're setup OK.
Anyone using the DE node, who doesn't have NL or stratum.kano.is as their backup, I'd suggest you setup the NL node as 1st backup, since they are quite close together (13ms)

Edit: just got an email from them (almost 2hrs later) saying ... they had to reboot the DE VM server ... well I guess that answers that Tongue

I'm using Trezor and I must say it's a great wallet. Good functionality, easier to use and supports ethereum dash and zcash

I use a Keepkey and like it also. I also have a Ledger Nano S special Litecoin edition, but I have not used it and it remains unopened. Who knows, it might be a collectors item one day.

Guys what is  a good hardware wallet?  trezor ?  ledger nano s ?

I've loved my Trezor.

I recently invested in a Trezor.  It gives me a sense of security, especially after loosing 0.08 BTC and 7 LTC due to hardware failure (running Core). I can plug it in and it works with MultiBit.  It also has an easy-to-use web interface.

It was a little bit difficult to set up, but I have a Mac and everything crypto is lesser on Apple software.

In order to set up the Litecoin, you must go through beta.wallet.trezor.io/ and ETC is facilitated through Myethwallet.  In order to access the wallet you enter a pin.  One cool feature is the scrambled number pad to protect from key-log monitors. I believe it also holds DASH and some other ... Doge?

It's well worth the investment and you get the 12 or 24 word recovery phrase.  It'd be nice if it came with a case.

EDIT: The screen is a little less than 1"x 1".

So it sounds like I am not doing something right (safe??).

I just leave all of my rewards/payments (BTC) from here in the Coinbase exchange and use that as my vehicle for selling, buying, etc.

It sounds like this is not the preferred method?

The best answer I've ever seen to that: https://youtu.be/F12lpqnug-0

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Core. On your machine. If you lose your BTC using Core it's because you didn't back up your wallet. I know I'm a foil hat on that discussion. Just one response...Mt. Gox.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

If you don't have them in your possession, they are not yours.  At a minimum download Jaxx, Exodus or MultiBitHD (my preferred). If Coinbase goes down or the government decides to turn off access for a little bit, you are at their mercy.

It's risky business keeping your coins on an exchange.
