So it sounds like I am not doing something right (safe??).
I just leave all of my rewards/payments (BTC) from here in the Coinbase exchange and use that as my vehicle for selling, buying, etc.
It sounds like this is not the preferred method?
I used to send my kano.is earnings to my localbitcoins.com wallet because I only have 26 TH/s and that method allowed me to consolidate my scrap earnings without incurring fees. The reality is that for a small amount of BTC (this means different amounts to different people) I don't mind using an online wallet if it saves me consolidation fees. However localbitcoins started charging incoming fees earlier this month so now I send my earnings straight to my Bitcoin core wallet since I will be using up fees consolidating my dust payments either way.

Had some more failovers in the last little while ... The LA node at 07:29 UTC - hash rate is back up to what it was now.

Make that 47hrs 52 now. Just bad luck. I just shifted 200th over from slush to try and mine moreover here. Just unlucky for the pool and timing on my part.

Help->Payouts https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout"The payout uses a zero fee transaction, so we will confirm it with the next block we find after the transaction is sent out."

DE node was (yet again) restarted by the provider. DE outage was from 00:08 UTC to 00:18 UTC As usual, be sure to have an appropriate backup server in your pool list. For DE.kano.is that would be NL.kano.is
Unexpectedly at the same time (00:11 UTC), the LA whitelist node reconnected, so the few people there would have failed over and failed back straight away.

Couldn't quite figure out what you meant Carl, then I got it! Actually what I was saying about having a 400% block is statistically we can expect it to happen about every 55 blocks or so. The last one we had before this one was 82 blocks ago so it was completely expected. From Kano's many posts on the subject, A little CDF table of block expectation: 0.39346934028737 50.000% 1 in 1.6 0.63212055882856 100.000% 1 in 2.7 0.77686983985157 150.000% 1 in 4.5 0.86466471676339 200.000% 1 in 7.4 0.95021293163214 300.000% 1 in 20.1 0.98168436111127 400.000% 1 in 54.6 0.99326205300091 500.000% 1 in 148.4 0.99752124782333 600.000% 1 in 403.4 0.99872735771441 666.666% 1 in 785.8 0.99908811803445 700.000% 1 in 1096.6 0.99966453737210 800.000% 1 in 2981.0 0.99987659019591 900.000% 1 in 8103.1
