Apologies for my ignorance, I assumed, and I know I should never assume, that
your pool would allow me to build up payments and get them paid out when needed,
as I do with other pools in which I mine, I pay my costs and buy miners straight from
the pool.

Is there any timeframe on when the dust payout function may be available to
be able to get the payout

cheers

more then likely a year or more since he has said that one day he will pay dust for more then 2 years.

How much coin did you fuck up with by not  asking sooner?  0.001 or more?

Thanks for the replies guys and I now understand a bit more about how the pool
works.

If it were only dust payments, I would be happy to donate them as I have done
on other pools that I have mined in over the years and have closed down.

This is basically a month of mining with 2 x T9 and an S9 or 35th

Total is .30211271btc or in dollar terms around 20 pineapples where i come from

Yes, it did tell me to "please set wallet address" as does all the other pools that
I mine in and I dont set wallet addresses for.  These pools allow me to
combine my earnings and pay straight from the pools wallet.

Your pool allowed me to mine and earn mining rewards, and I cant see anywhere
on the site that says that if dont have a wallet address listed, my payments will
be sent to the dust account.

Its not the end of the world an all, but its not chickenfeed either

cheers

The web site says, from the first time you login, in red bold letters at the top,
"Please set a payout address on your account!"
... until you set it.

'nuf said.
... I've already said it (above) but I'll add:

If you don't set a payout address on ANY pool ANYWHERE, they can't pay you.
That means your payout will be delayed, on EVERY pool.

Here, however, that means a very long delay.
Until I write the accounting code.

That message shows there at the top in Bold Red with an exclamation mark! EVERY page you view on kano.is, when you are logged in, until you set a payout address.
Not just the payouts page, EVERY page you view.

I don't really think the message will make much difference, unless I write a 10 paragraph monologue about why you should do it ... which I wont Smiley
It's pretty obvious what it means ... and the ramifications of ignoring it are easy enough to find out by asking ...

I remember seeing it back in the beginning  of the pool years ago I simply put in an address  and forgot about it

I did send him a pm  to tell him to join my give away thread to help ease his pain of I fucked my self.  Been there more then once myself.

I will try to surprise him with something else.

He will get his payout sometime ... sooner than anyone in the past who has complained about it ... time does that Cheesy

... and I have said a number of times how it is now 2nd on my TODO list (since the things further above are either done, on being done now)
I'm still wasting time with SegShit ... but that should be over and done with soon.

Like I said...I love it when a plan comes together.

Was out with Team Rubicon today, and Red Cross, installing free smoke detectors for homes that don't have them. I saw at one of the homes this small, well-made little aluminum tent sign (about the size of a biz card) stating, "Two Drink Minimum." It was on the kitchen table.

I could hardly stop laughing long enough to finish the job. These folks were Japanese Hawaiian...and in their late 80s.

I wanna have that view at that age, by golly. Having some BTC in the back pocket might help that.  Kiss

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

This is actually quite a spurious argument

I mine in other pools (except chinese) to help keep the network
decentralised, and I do not need my wallet address listed to mine
in any other pool that I have mined in, or currently mine in, to
get payments when requested

It seems that this issue is not just me alone, as tom asked the
same thing just before

As philipama1957 noted, all that you needed to stop this from
happening, was to have a second line, like

Please set payout address on your account!
If you dont, your payments will go to the dust bin

And you said that you were watching this, if that is the case
and you have my email address, why not a courtesy email
alerting me of this error.

Are there others beside tom and myself that are mining
for the bust bin's benefit

cheers

and thanks for your kind gesture philipma1957

Since you require an address to get paid in Bitcoin ... you've clearly lost the plot understanding how Bitcoin works.

Well 2 things: firstly you completely ignored the message that showed there every time you viewed any page on the web site.
I've no idea how a slightly longer message, wasting extra space on the web site, will stop you ignoring the web site ...

I could add below it, in flashing psychedelic text "Hey retard, don't ignore this message above" ... but most people probably wouldn't like that ...

Secondly: how is adding a false statement, you just put there, going to help that?

No idea what you are talking about ... try reading my posts ... for the first time ...

...

Meanwhile, on the Payouts Help page where it tells you that you'll get paid every block, you also ignored that you didn't get paid for ... 66 blocks ... so I doubt an extra message would have made any difference at all ...

Weill this message would only ever be shown to those who have not already set their wallet address, so all the other
miners who have already set their wallet addresses will never see this message, so I would rather be called a
retard than be mining straight to the dust account.

Since you require an address to get paid in Bitcoin ... you've clearly lost the plot understanding how Bitcoin works.

I do understand how bitcoin works, pools like slush and bitminter allow payments to accrue until either you enter
an address and amount that you want that payment to go to, say paying bitmain or for hosting or like paying into your trading
account, or the threshold level that you have set is reached, a payment will be sent to a nominated payment address,
not necessarily into your wallet.

I dont need to set my wallet address to mine in these pools or any other pool that I have ever mined in, some
pools prefer that you set a wallet address, I supposed so they dont build up big wallet amounts that might be prone
to hacking, but they allow what you have mined to accrue until you want it.

Secondly: how is adding a false statement, you just put there, going to help that?

was the false statement 'dust bin', if so, sorry that was flippant of me, it should be dust account

"please set a payout address on your account!" this gives no mention or what happens if
you dont set the address, neither does anything else on your site that I can find

In reply to my first question/post here you said

Yes I watched that for a while ...

By that I assumed you meant that you had watched me mining without an address

Tom was the posters name Tjargi who you replied to 'scroll up'
Who also appears to have been mining without a wallet address

Are there others mining here without having their wallet addresses listed was my question
is/was this just tom (Tjargiand) and myself,  BTW you dont have to answer this question

...

Meanwhile, on the Payouts Help page where it tells you that you'll get paid every block, you also ignored that you didn't get paid for ... 66 blocks ... so I doubt an extra message would have made any difference at all ...

Like I said other pools you can either get paid every block or let them accrue and get paid when you want, if
something on your site said that if you dont have a wallet address listed, your payments will go to the dust
account, then I would definitely not have mined without an wallet address

Like I said its not life threatening, and getting sorry for taking up your time now

cheers

There was a 'blip' in the network at the NL node at 12:01 UTC (some very short network issues at the datacentre) and some (a small % of) miners on the NL node, will have failed over but failed back straight away.
Just so anyone who got 'blipped' knows that it was the node connection that was the cause.
