Mining to a exchange wallet is not recommended. Why would you MUST do that?

I had heard from a couple of people that the fees are less if you send it to an exchange wallet like coinbase or kraken? I apologize if this information is wrong, which is kind of why I am asking you guys!  Wink

Halo Platform is one of the fastest Blockchains I've seen yet. They have FREE transactions. 250 Millisecond Block speeds. Smart contracts, Masternodes, blockchain games, and their own high speed DEX with BTC/ETH/USDC pairs. Similar to ETH, Waves, EOS, and more yet with only $1 million mcap. This video showcases the speed and reliability of the blockchain using the DEX, Masternodes (that will soon payout in BTC and ETH), blockchain games, and more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g74d3ixX7E8&feature=youtu.be

I send mine to Kraken with no issues, but I sell my coin each month.  Saves me the fee to transfer to the exchange to sell.

Noob question here, but is it OK if I change my payout address to my kraken account? I've heard a couple of you guys say its better to have a payout address to an exchange rather than a wallet. Is this true?

Yes it is perfectly fine as long as you can withdraw your btc without any problems, I've had my rewards sent to poloniex before and every time when I tried to withdraw my btc it kept getting stuck in some kind of manual check needed and I had to wait for like a day!  Coinbase is perfectly fine too! Smiley.

Yeah, I believe if you send it to a place like Coinbase, they consolidate it so when you send it other placed it costs less to send it. But Coinbase isn't an exchange as in you don't trade currencies like you could in Poloniex, Kraken et cetera. But from my experience, sending to Poloniex can result in delays and missing transactions. I used to have mine sent to a Bitcoin Core but the application kept having issues, had to restore et cetera. so I now just have my rewards sent to Coinbase and if I want to do some trading I send some to Poloniex/Kraken et cetera.

If you do something like mine coin to an online wallet then make sure you move it out into a wallet where you control the private keys as soon as you can. Remember if you don't control the private keys to the wallet you don't control the coins in the wallet. Ask anyone who had coin in their mtgox wallet or more recently their btc-e wallet.

Just a thought from a somewhat-newbie in this area. I have my BTC payments sent to my Core wallet. I run a full node and the wallet is just gravy. From MY wallet, I can do anything I want.

Send back to Coinbase for cash in my checking account, send to shady North Koreans for Uranium, send to Donald Trump for Swiss Bank Account numbers. As long as the keys are mine, and mine only, The Wallet is mine.

Anyway, sorry for the slight OT. It's my birthday and I want a freakin' BLOCK or at least our teammates to crack one of those freaking blocks soon!!

I urgently request another anime goddess's assistance as we are block free so far on this Sunday.
Tsunami, grant us bountiful blocks and good fortune in all things.

So mote it be.
Heh you gonna be calling on a lot of Goddesses if you want them before 200% Smiley
We expect to average 1 in 7.4 blocks to be over 200%

Tsunami was a Goddess, but Mercury wasn't actually a Goddess in Sailor Moon Smiley

I know this is not a tech help section but I figured I would ask from the group that has seen it all I think. So I got this s7 everything seems to be running fine. My power flickered like 3 times the other day. I turned off the miner as soon as it started happen just in case. I was adding kano's second node apply and reset and noticed I was mining at half power. Everything seems normal. No asic x's fans working temps where in the 60's so I rebooted it and everything seems to be back to normal but i have no kernel log now. http://prntscr.com/gpaeg6 any one ever experience something like this before?

Mine is blank as well on my S7 and it's hashing away like a champ at 4.7TH-5.1TH.

Edit: A reboot of the S7 and it now the kernel log data is back for me.

I found this article when the 654.293% block was here haunting to pass the time the other day. Pretty good little read back from mid 2015.
