I'll be doing a restart of the main backend pool in 1 hour at 23:00 UTC This will mean a fail over and immediate fail back for all miners. I'm seeing a lot of miners disconnecting a reconnecting for a while, so this should clean up that.
Oh thank god! I have been trying to figure out why all my miners have gone bonkers!

Man...is that what it is...I hope so....my avg has gone down from over 42 to 27 over the past 7 days...just from all the restarts...hope that's what it is.... No, it's not been 7 days, only the last few hours. If you are having trouble keeping your connection to the pool, then it's most likely at your ISP connection. Also, make sure you are connected to the closest node. It's probably right in front of me ... but I've looked a few times and have yet to see what the individual node addresses are. Would you enlighten me please? M The thead title DE, SG, JP, NL, NYA. Each as e.g. nya.kano.is (instead of stratum.kano.is) SO to make sure...if I'm in Ga (USA)....it would be stratum.nya.kano.is?

So maybe because I'm a newbie...but can anyone tell me why cgminer will say my GHsav is 35400, but on kano.is, it says hash rate is 18 and change....?? Now dropped to 14...? 10 min later...cgminer is at 37 for GHSav, and refresh kano.is now at 24....can anyone explain to me about why the flucuations? Thanks.

Any short term average (less than an hour) will jump around a lot and not be very accurate. The pool restart was less than an hour ago, so that will only show the 5 minute average.

The thead title DE, SG, JP, NL, NYA. Each as e.g. nya.kano.is (instead of stratum.kano.is) Maybe it'd be useful to spell this out on the website? I can only guess what most of these are. I went by ping, and stratum.kano.is is lowest by far. I'm guessing it's west coast USA somewhere? M

M Not until I complete the last step of the rewrite of the KanoDB code to handle the network - which is still a ways off. The ckpool node code sux and always has, so I have always preferred to not advertise that on the web site or anywhere else

Alright friends...new problem for me....went out to shut down my 6 741s as I was going to move them around to get ready for a couple L3's coming in. When I turned powered them back on, one of them went through the normal power up cycle, looking at the white lite, turns yellow, then instead turning blue ..I got a red light. On the sides where you normally get the 4 green lights (two on each side), I only got 2 green on the right side, the left side was not lit up at all. So .... did I lose the boards on that side...?? I power cycled several times, and still no change....I've had these about a month now.....

Check the PCIe connectors - that's usually the problem - not enough getting through due to a connection problem. The connections on the boards, where you plug them in, can get a bit touchy if you move them around or unplug/plug them back in.

Well a 'pop' can depend on the PSUs you use. Some types of PSUs can take 15-30 minutes to reset after a power surge pops their internal 'fuse' 2 silly expensive seasonic 1200 platinums I used to have used to take forever to reset ... until I finally blew them up I've had 2 OCZ 1250s since I first started GPU mining on Bitcoin in 2011 ... those 2 still work fine running the A741 ... if only OCZ was still around.

If it doens't resolve itself...any other guess's.....
