kano, what do you think to start litecoin mining pool and/or pther crypocurrency?
Litecoin was started by a person on this forum called coblee
He is more well known by his real name Charlie Lee

People think a lot of him.
He's a scammer.

Proof:
Litecoin was started as a GPU resistant coin using scrypt.
I stated in the Litecoin thread (yes you can find my posts still there) saying that the scrypt values used should be OK with a GPU, they aren't high enough to make it GPU resistant.
Everyone seemed to believe Charlie, and Litecoin went on for something like a year with everyone CPU mining.

Then ... it was revealed that he had a GPU miner and had been GPU mining for a lot of that time (possibly since the start?) while the rest of the planet was CPU mining Litecoin.

Litecoin was created based on a lie by Charlie to his own advantage.

Yes I stay away from altcoins ... since this is the case for most if not all of them ... scams from the start.

Kano, I am curious.  Without me pretending to know much about how it works, will this pool be going with the Segwit2X in November?  I hear there is a second fork.  The whole thing confuses the heck out of me.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

No idea - we'll see what happens.

I'm certainly completely against centralisation, so if a minority group (core) decides to fork off some 'CoreCoin' (no matter what they call it) that clearly wont be what the pool will become.

However, I may create one or 2 options to allow people to mine CoreCoin and BitchCoin on a new pool from scratch - and no doubt those 2 will be quite small Tongue
But again - it's undecided - until the day comes.

As before with the core BIP91 scam, I'll probably be the last pool to decide - since we are small enough to have not have much effect on anything and can thus wait until the latest possible moment to decide based on the information available.

P.S. not much point quoting that post Smiley

There is a thread in the hardware section that covers everything. My personal preference has been to order units from Amitylabs out of the US through there ebay store.

...
Anyone use, its more then direct from Bitmain but looks to be in stock

...

Lots of red flags with that site. They have no real reviews and the ones that are there all seem fake and to good for a place thats only been around for about a month and not shut down yet.

Even at them super high prices there are very few legit places that sell new bitmain products other then bitmain.
OK - someone needs to find me a link that says they are NOT a scam ... and not PM.
If I don't get a reply on here soon I'll delete all posts that include that site ... and this post of mine also.
The only info I can find says it was a scam 9 months ago and got closed down ... yet it's alive again now for some unknown reason.
OK - posts all deleted - in case anyone was wondering why.
Since this thread has the most posts and one of the top views on the forum, I prefer that link to not be in it anywhere.

Well ... it shouldn't hurt them that much.
It's 4 hours of no shares sent to the pool - that will be spread out over (reduced from) your rewards for the next 3 and a bit days, roughly equivalent to ... 4 hours of (no) mining.
