Quick question - when there are no blocks does that result in hash rate dropping to 0?
because my hash rate is 0, and i have no idea why? both on kano.is and in my antminer ip address log in

If your hashrate is zero, that means you aren't mining where you think are mining. Sad

Double check your settings.  There have been reports from others of something changing their settings w/o their knowledge through the API.

M
Wow, ok thats troubling..
Ive checked my settings everything seems to be the same, but i saved and reapplied them. Will see what happens
wow, wtf i was down for 3 hours.   Sad Sad

How does that happen?

Ok the pool PH back to normal now, I feel so sorry for the hoppers!   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

We are now about where we were before the difficulty change hash wise. Sad

M

Nope, it's back.   Wondering if it's a power issue where internationalrescue has their stuff hosted at (or if they're rentinging more hashing power)

Now we just need some blocks, it's been over a day now.

Yep looks like it’s back. Smiley

Should just watch it's hash rate go up and down during the day....meanwhile cobra's is pretty static.   Something's up with internationalrescue no doubt...a lot of fluctuations which isn't going to help their payout when we hit multiple blocks.

Fcuk they just got the latest payout to a new address and key !!!
how can stop payments until I load a complete new version of core?

I'm going to wipe the drive reformat

Invest in a trezor, Been using it ever since I had bitcoins stolen from me last year and haven't had a problem since,

Until then I would suggest using Jaxx on your phone to receive payouts till its solved

I've been looking into the hardware wallets recently.. What are peoples thoughts regarding Ledger Nano S vs Trezor?

Are there honestly big differences that truly set one of them above the other?
Or, is it just a preference thing, and/ or a $ cost thing?

Would love to hear from users of both wallets. As i am stuck between the two

I have a Nano S. It's nice, but I found having mining payments sent to it increases the fees something fierce when you send them out. Well at least for Ethereum. But other than that it's a nice wallet.

new Jersey, i keep them outside, it nice and cool now

...a quick story

i was trying nicehash on Sunday after setting up my S9s
and withing an hour both S9s had found a block each
what are the odds
i dont think ill see that in a long time

amazing!!!
They were most likely altcoins.
When you mine through *hash they point your miner at whatever coin the buyer wants.

You can verify that by looking at the 'best share' on the miner - if it's less than 1,196,792,694,098 then the blocks were altcoin blocks.

interesting point

Fcuk they just got the latest payout to a new address and key !!!
how can stop payments until I load a complete new version of core?

I'm going to wipe the drive reformat
That won't necessarily solve the problem. Someone has gotten access to your network, and your physical machine. Your problem could be "internal." I won't go there.

Someone else said it...use a different, dedicated machine running Ubuntu (not Win) and have it do nothing but Core.

are you 100% positive that someone really hacked your computer and was able to somehow also get into your wallet and send the coins to somewhere else?   and not just what ever wallet you are useing not indexing properly and making it just appear as if the btc is lost or missing??

It happens to me quite a lot with my armory wallet.  Were it will sometimes lose my entire balance if the blockchain gets corrupted at all.  then I need to delete the data file and redownload the entire blockchain and reindex it. Then after that 3 day long process my btc reapears.  Most of the time. But if not it useally does after a few more tried and doing a wallet repair.

... and he can check that on blocktrail also.
Go to https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC
The type in an address.
You can see for certain what the current balance of that address is, and if you click on the "Transactions" tab you'll see all the transactions adding and subtracting from that address - the first one being the most recent transaction showing if the address has been emptied and what address it was sent to.
