The hash rate unfortunately is getting low enough where other pools are making sense at this time.  I have some miners here and some elsewhere and it's tough going this weekend after a great weekend last weekend.  Cross some fingers and pull out a block!

Kano, do you think it might be a good idea to change the 5nd reward method? The 5nd is effectively at 1 diff period now.

I was thinking it might be a hard pill to swallow for new miners, if they want to come here, that their reward would be lessened by the 5nd for 2 weeks. Especially the bigger ones, who gotta pay electric and hosting.

When I first joined, I had already been mining for a couple years and the 5nd was only at ~39 hours. But now we are at almost 2 weeks. It might be to intimidating to any new people wanting to try us out.

If I was a big miner I wouldn’t want to change to this pool right now and sit here for all these Days waiting for the ramp up time and loosing thousands of dollars daily by doing so.  .  Plus Kano is just charging 0.9% it’s not like you’ll get 20% more or something like that.

I’m afraid that what you’re saying does make sense.  .  This doesn’t look good at all!  I’m still hanging here but won’t be able for much longer if the luck doesn’t turn our way!  

This is just so sad guys!  I don’t know what else to say!

Luck has not been all that bad. Expected is 12.2, found is 11. We are just in the doldrums that happen when variance and difficulty are high. The payouts will be quite nice when they happen. I just checked a little pool I once mined at and they are only hitting about 1 to 1.5 blocks a month, with only about 2PH/s. I am curious at what insanely high transaction amounts will be added to our next set of blocks here at Kano pool. A new A741 is heading my way by the end of the month so I am looking forward to greater earnings soon.

Time to heat the house during the winter months with pure HASHRATE!

I haven't done the math so maybe I'm just talking out my backside, but is everyone's margins so low that they can't sustain a bad luck month once in a while? Why all the doomsday talk? Our overall stats still look pretty darn good to me, so I'm not going anywhere (yes, I only have one shitty little mining machine, but 1000 miners like me starts to add up, right?).

I do agree that with the 5ND so long right now, new miners may be reluctant to join. Does it make sense to reduce to 3ND for a while or is that a dumb idea for technical reasons?

Anyway, mine on folks...next block will hopefully come soon and cheer everyone up with nice fat payout.

If the expected 12.2 and 11 found would be right now, then yes it would be great!  But that was like 9 days ago man!  At this moment the expected number is mor like 20 and only 11 found! Which is’t good At ALL!

And I just place an order with bitMain for some more L3+ batch end of 2017

Then why are the larger guys leaving if the rewards are the same as expected? Something seems off with either people's ideas of rewards or they are not getting the returns they used to, need to, to maintain a connection to the pool.
