On the Kano Pool Website I show the pool working on 498188 at 29 minutes. That block was found by BTCC a few minutes ago and already has a confirmation. It is NOT my connection to the Internet. Kano can you please look into this?
As I said before, you most likely are connected to some proxy.
ISPs often use a proxy for all the people who connect to them.
The pool is fine and switches blocks fine.
If we were switching blocks taking minutes there'd be orphans all over the place over the past month you've been pointing out this same issue.

Thanks for the help.

Dance dance dance!

Whats the longest for a block?

A week from Tuesday...seriously, I don't even remember except there was one (in another pool, actually) that took five days.

Conditions are different, and change constantly. That's the part of mining I enjoy.

Mine on.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

I will push the I believe button. All that matters is that the 4 S9's that I just added to the pool are given the work they need to help find a Block for the pool!! Not a lot but I am in the Pool, swimming around happy as a Scallop, just added 56TH to the clan of happy miners!! Let Roll.

If you login to your miner you can see when they switch work Smiley
Though the time the miner thinks it is, may or may not be correct ... or even years incorrect Tongue

... though I didn't add this before, but if you are using tor or anything like that, please don't.
That will add lots of delays in the work and the block changes at your miner and will cause stales and lost pool blocks.

Kano,
Not using TOR. Firefox Browser, that may be the problem, but honestly not worried about it. It definitely is not on your end. I was just concerned, but you are correct, if network latency was bad the entire pool would be blowing up with stales, lost blocks and orphans.
I understand network latency and timing. Been in the technology game for a long time. I made sure I had sufficient bandwith and overhead to get the work done and back as  quickly as possible. Pointed all 4 to NYA with a ping <14ms from my location. Straight fiber all the way to New York.... they say in life, timing is everything. In mining, I think it definitely improves the odds if you have a minimal ping to get and return the work.
I hope I find a block right away, I won't get anything paid out to me for it since I have only been up for about 8 hours but it would set the tone for many more in the future as I build out my farm. Press On and ........................... Mine On!! Thanks for a great pool.  Smiley

The difficulty increase of 18.1% seems to have changed everything. We were going along pretty good until then. Is the only way to overcome that just adding hashing power? Would it take an 18.1% increase in miner hash to have stayed at the near 100% luck point?

edit: That would have been a 4.88PH/s increase needed just to stay current

Hello Dancers !

My first S9 will arrive tomorrow...
Here in good old Germany the electricity coasts are very expensive.
My House is from 1904 the power lines are the same age.
I hope I will not burn down my house, all I can say is: MINE ON! Smiley

I have a similar situation. I just had an electrician friend install two 20 amp circuits to two separate outlets specifically for my miners. It was a few hundred bux, I think (still haven't gotten the bill). It took a couple of his guys a couple hours. So, its more than worth it for the peace of mind.  Cheesy

Today my main breaker circuit in my house was melted, four days after installing 3 antminers secured after a 16 amp breaker (1 pointed to kano, 1 to slush, 1 to mining-dutch) . No lights in house, it took two hours before the called mechanic from the electricity company installed a new main fuse, the old broken one of 25 amp was replaced by a heavier 35 amp. Problem is here in the Netherlands you can not see or look yourself at the main breaker fuse, so I assumed it was already 35 amp, the current standard. Wrong guess, old house, old main fuse. Will cost me 2 days mining to pay him.

Hummmm that sounds like a fire just waiting to happen. if you are running 3 miners and dont want a fire you really should have separate outlets all with there own breakers or fuse.

and you dont want to go putting in a higher amp breaker if you dont have wiring meant to run a heavier load. Or else if you overdraw on the circuit its going to not cause a bigger breaker to trip and will instead start melting wires inside your walls or at the outlet its self and thats when fires happen.

if you are on 220v each miner will draw about 6amps.  So you could get away with 3 miners running on one 20amp breaker or fuse. Tho If It were me Id have no more then 2 s9's on each circuit with no higher then a 15 amp breaker/ fuse.   and if you keep popping a breaker or blowing a fuse it would mean you have a problem some were thats causing the circuit to overload.   The one thing you don't want to do is keep throwing in a higher amp breaker or fuse if it keeps poping them.   Cause thats defeating the whole purpose of a fuse or breaker in the first place.  Id also never use an electrician again that did not know that you don't just go through a bigger fuse in a circuit that cant handle a higher amp load.

Even if it costs a few more days of mining to pay for a property safe wiring set up to run your miners.  its worth it in the long run cause if you end up burning down the mine that's a lot more mining lost and peace of mind is also got to have a value as well.

The expected block is allways 100% no matter how much hash rate we have.  Sometimes it will be less than 100% and sometimes it will be more but the expected is 100%.  Adding hash rate only speeds up the process so we would reach 100% on a block much faster than we do now but the expected block find will still be 100% for each block.
