Of course. I've full confidence. I only post when I care and feel I can be additive; I appreciate the work and am happy to be part of the pool

Doing an immediate restart of the backend pool - it's failing to keep up with the work changes by a few seconds regularly over the past hour.
Everyone will failover and back.
Web site wont be affected Smiley

Edit: hash rate heading back up to where it was. Restart cleared up the problem. All OK again. Mine on! Smiley

Thank you K, for your dedication.

Firstly, the banning is working fine, and this is the first time I've enabled this extra blocking, that already existed in the code when I first wrote it all, and it's working fine also.

This banning might ban someone, while it's active, who makes a mistake, but I think that's way better than stopping everyone logging in.
... and anyone who gets on by mistake, can always contact me to get off the ban list very quickly.
There's only been about 700 banned IPs, but I did completely block a bunch of large subnets before hand that were all bots.

Most of the previous banning has been either IP subnets that had very large numbers of bots, or simply disabling logins for a short while until they got bored having no effect on anything.
This one has sorta gone on all day, so this solution is the best in this case, in my opinion.

Lastly, most people with more than a few miners, have a different place/places for their miners.

This kinda sux.
3 of the 4 S9's are in my city, at the DHL center, cleared customs, and one is on plane departed Hong Kong.  But what is the worst part is that DHL isn't open to allow me to pick it up today!!

Sad   Its only noon. I have time to devise a plan for extraction today!   haha  Any ideas?

Someone joked around and said they sent them a lot sooner than the Jan 21 - 30, so they must of sent a bunch of Mandarin Oranges instead!  Hope not..

Hello all, super noob here. Have 3 S9's ordered from ebay for the late Jan batch, praying this order doesn't get cancelled. Hopefully be online by the 2nd week of Feb. Looks like a great community and I can't wait to join in the fun.

Do your homework now. Ping and find out the fastest server to connect to. Read the threads and try and discern how to set them up and how the 5ND works, etc BEFORE they arrive. If you can get the 22/240 V circuits installed before they arrive, Power Distribution Units and Power supplies on hand. Many Noobs don't do this and end up finding themselves trying to put all the little pieces but needed pieces into place. Welcome to the Best Bitcoin Mining Pool on the Planet with the Best Subject Matter Expert running it. Mine On With Kano-San. Merry Christmas.

How would one ping the servers? Currently have all my miners pointed to port 3333 but would love to know how to see if another port is better. Thanks

The port doesn't make any difference for performance.
The Node does, the others are: nl.kano.is de.kano.is jp.kano.is sg.kano.is and nya.kano.is

Any hardware nerds in here???  Grin  I suppose I could post this question in a more-specific sub-forum but figured I would post it here first. Purchased a broken S9 because the price was stupid, $110. Question is, the boards are all bad or have some issue. Can I just buy different boards and switch them out? I know there was one guy on here attempting to figure out what was wrong with the boards and fix them. I am no genius with circuitry so not going down that path. Also, what makes a miner a 12.5, 13.0, 13.5, 14.0. Is it just the variance from manufacturing or was this due to upgraded chips etc...? Thanks.

The Node does, the others are: nl.kano.is de.kano.is jp.kano.is sg.kano.is and nya.kano.is
How to do it is to go to your Command Prompt.
C:\>ping nya.kano.is

Pinging nya.kano.is [104.207.132.42] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 104.207.132.42: bytes=32 time=15ms TTL=54
Reply from 104.207.132.42: bytes=32 time=19ms TTL=54
Reply from 104.207.132.42: bytes=32 time=16ms TTL=54
Reply from 104.207.132.42: bytes=32 time=15ms TTL=54

Ping statistics for 104.207.132.42:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 15ms, Maximum = 19ms, Average = 16ms

Above is an example of a ping command. You are looking for the lowest millisecond number possible to connect to. In my case it turned out to be the NYA node with an average 16ms round trip, then the other two were the eurpoean nodes in Germany and the Netherlands being my 2nd and 3rd Stratum addresses to point the miners to in case my primary mining pool node failed.

Mine On with Kano-San. Come On Luck, you flip flopping 50/50 coin tossing jewel that you are.

I decided to wait...  Not worth getting locked up :-)
I put a hold for pickup, so I don't have to wait all day, ill just go in and pick it up myself.  Less stress than..... When is it going to come.....

Any interest in selling the unit as-is? I'd give you a 100%+ ROI on it...

FWIW all I am going to do is take a heat gun to PCBs and attempt to ghetto reflow them...might make them temporarily work, might not do anything at all. I'd spend $250 to give it a shot though if it's an S9 with 3 bad boards.
