Yeah you can't use a normal ping on the AWSLS servers - which most on the nodes now are.
You'd need to do a "tcp ping" on port 8080

I've been googling around looking for some easy to use and readily available tcp ping programs - I'll update the first post once I work out the easiest one's to use that are most readily part of the OSes or easiest (and safest) to get.

But for google help - search for "tcp ping" and if you find one, use port 8080 on each node.

For win user maybe that link is helpful: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/psping

after the nl-->uk move the de node is now the best for me, but the difference is only ~1,5ms Wink

I have a question about the pool API. The workers data contains w_hashrate5m / w_hashrate1h / w_hashrate24hr fields. I thought that's the average hashrate for 5m / 1h / 24h respectively. But I guess I am not exactly right about it. I just faced a situation when my hashing power went down due to a network connectivity. I saw the hashrate numbers declining quickly, and all of them - including the 24hr rate  - went to 0. When network issue was sorted out, the numbers were back to their normal values again - including the 24h value.

I understand the 5m / 1h numbers to change fast when my machines are down. But why does the 24h also drops so quickly ? I didn't measure exact duration of the downtime itself, but it was somewhat around 4 hours. So I expected the 24h hashrate value to reduce by ~20% only...

P.S. I'm just looking for a more-or-less reliable way to get informed when any of my miners are not hashing properly. Right now I have a script calculating the total hashrate (based on 'w_hashrate5m' numbers from the API) and comparing it to a pre-defined value. I also found some very good hints from Kano here - will look into adding that check as well.

From page 1:
Android App, read in the thread here:

I've used it for a long time.  Not perfect, but works fine enough.

Come on guys, the picture was simply posing the turkey tail feather fan.  The personal attack was distasteful and unnecessary.

Slush has a 2% fee, kano has a .9% fee, so over time you make 1.1% more.

Rewards are per block and based on your hashrate relative to the pools rate and the block reward + transaction fees.

Unless I did something wrong, ~0.02478235 BTC/day (only paid after each block we find matures, though)

Feel free to play around with the #s here (defaults to KanoPool #s):
