Default of '0' is fine. This allows the pool to adjust the diff your miners are trying to hit automatically.

I'm not exactly sure how anyone would believe marketing hype where a company says they can do something a LOT harder than what Intel, nVidia and AMD have yet to achieve with just CPUs and GPUs I see no 10nm CPUs or GPUs in the near future, and Bitcoin mining is a lot more power intensive and thus a lot more difficult to manufacture workable chips. Yet they're boasting jumping straight to 7nm ... ... ... There's also google-able reasons (related to power issues) why there are no 10nm CPUs and GPUs yet ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I think you need to read between the lines of what they are saying: A 8TH GPU SLOT card for 300W... e.g. An ASIC card that fits in a normal PC GPU slot. At 300W the PC case cooling system SHOULD be able to handle the heat.

Mined for a living since 2017. Dabbled for years before that. Linux admin since 0.96 kernel and Slackware distributions on (4) floppies...

When I first start there were two "dust blocks", of course I joined on a lucky two block day, but I don't even think it adds up to a dollar.

Yeah I up the 'thread title hash rate' based on the Pool Graph, since ckpool over-estimates the hash rate a bit which is what I show on the web pages in the top left of the page. The Pool Graph is definitely saying it's almost 200 now ... but not quite 200 ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I put it up to 190+ the other day though coz I knew it was going to be over 190 before hand ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Next difficulty retarget occurs at block 526175.0 (eta 10.8 days): 5.17423501215e+12 / +20.1% [est.]
Wtf? 20% increase?
Which means 20% less profits.

I think the last diff increase was just yesterday, might have been a bunch of quick lucky blocks or something. Wait a few days and you'll see it level out a bit, as the network hashrate doesn't appear to have jumped drastically. On the other hand a 20% increase is not unheard of there have been a few of those since I started mining last year.

Wait a few days and you'll see it level out a bit, as the network hashrate doesn't appear to have jumped drastically. On the other hand a 20% increase is not unheard of there have been a few of those since I started mining last year. Indeed it's caused by web sites that have no understanding of statistics. The difficulty re-target is based on 2015 (of the last 2016) blocks each 2016 blocks (which is about 2 weeks) If they calculate it based on 200 blocks then they are only using a tenth of the data used to determine the diff change. So the estimate will be pretty meaningless. Even 2015 blocks is not a very accurate estimate of the Bitcoin network hash rate, but alas it can't be a lot more due to the risk of having a very slow network difficulty change if the global hash rate drops a lot. Anyway, it's best to ignore the diff estimate sites until close to the next diff change. They're attempts at estimation is often brain dead ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
