BTClock! Thanks Cryptostarusa!

I'm really grateful for the 5Nd ... doesn't feel like my speed diminished much after losing 1 S9 for 10 hours

Yeah, it's not that you don't lose an amount of mining, if you are off for 10 hours then you expect to lose 10 hours worth of mining, but it's that it is spread out over 5Nd so the variance effect is VERY low vs what your reward should be minus 10 hours.

If instead the N was only 1 hour, the variance effect is actually VERY high, i.e. your chance of getting less or more than your expected reward, is a lot higher.
So as long as your hardware DOES fail a REAL lot on that other pool, it's expected to even out OK eventually.
If being offline is a rare event, then you may win some and may lose some, but if you are in the 50% that loses, you don't expect to get it back.

But again, it's yet another one of those things that a lot of people on other pools don't notice or don't understand Smiley

10 hours spread over 5 days is basically my "normal" variance of all the S9's over a given shift Smiley

Edit: more like variance for each block, but who's counting  Grin

More Bitmain coupons flooding my inbox today.

In addition to a mass extension to the $100 batches that expire tomorrow.

My guess is there won’t be an S11 announcement any time soon.

I've been having around 20+ miners fail over from stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 every night for the past 3 nights.

I'll add one of the other ports as secondary, but would like to know if this is considered normal for Kano pool to drop so much. My main concern is obviously stability/consistency.

Nope, not normal. All of mine were hashing with no issues last night.

Instead of another port, you might put in the second closest server to your location. Just ping them to find the fastest response times.

Same here...no fail-overs for a while.  I use the stratum as my 1st and NYA as my 2nd based on ping results.  I even have JP as my 3rd...I was never able to accumulate enough to ever get a payout from my 3rd pool (I tried a couple of PPS pools) because the Kano pool has been so reliable over the years that I've been here.  That way I never have to wait for the fail-back to happen Grin

Yep, surprised by the lack of an announcement though.  You can always say product X will be available in 3-6 months.   And take people's money....interesting
