Requested my withdrawal of 193 DRK. (I reported 190 DRK earlier, couldn't remember exact amount.) Will update if/when I receive it.
Withdrawal of 193 DRK (first reported 190 DRK) complete and confirmed. The TX hash showed up in Mintpal when it was generated under "Withdrawal Status" (previously said "Requested" or something like that), and the TX popped up in my wallet a few seconds later. Confirmation in a block followed within a few minutes. http://bitinfocharts.com/darkcoin/tx/f657a59a578306d5d8822df3819badedfaec172de837c5f8e9a9368f68459e1dEDIT: Based on the timestamps for these posts, it took approximately 1.5 hours for my withdrawal to go through. So this is coming from that big wallet that originated from a bunch of known MP addresses. It's possible these have all been legitimate withdrawals then, I guess, which would be very good news for all the others with DRK stored in MP. His TX: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/tx.dws?612821.htmLatest in the "chain": https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/tx.dws?613190.htmThe random amounts actually match what you'd expect to be withdrawals pretty well. Yes, considering that this wallet currently has around 5% of all DRK, and is the 3rd-richest DRK address, I think this is a pretty good sign for DRK holders on Mintpal. Maybe the earlier transactions that we saw from this wallet were legitimate withdrawals to people who had requested them via e-mail or other something? This process stopped about 8 h ago (manual execution?), latest in that chain is https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/tx.dws?613843.htmStill #3 on rich list, easy to follow... Seems they do it one DRK withdraw per block (or less), roughly ~16-18 withdraws per hour. If doing manual, and 2 man shift work, 14h per day (am I to optimistic?) , then ~14 hours x 16 = 200-220 withdraws per one full working day. Weekend ahead, so seems I must have enough patience to wait for my DRK coins until some time mid next week I have no idea though, how many accounts @ MP were holding DRK's . Anyone knows this? Hard to say but they went from ~270k DRK to ~226k DRK during that time. So they got rid of ~44k DRK or roughly 16% of their holdings. So if they keep up that rate, they will need ~6 working days to get all of the withdrawals processed.

But in case we have no better reference, then: they have "melted" that wallet by 41506 DRK in 5.58 hours, or 7438 DRK/h To melt is all to zero (at the same rate) would take 226458DRK:7438 = 30.44 hours If this comes true - sure is better then MtGox

I am wondering if the "new VC investor" might be the SysCoin teams BTCs, anyone got address to it?
We really do hope he's NOT using the funds in any way! Things seem to be heating up over in the UK. There's this info that is saying he is "arrested" for "questioning". Course there's no third party confirmation of any of this right now that I could see so take it with a grain of salt. And lastly it looks like SYS is going to take legal action https://twitter.com/syscoin/status/522742327727890432Alex / Moolah has a deadline until today to release all funds. Meanwhile the required documents for legal actions are prepared to be ready to send them over at deadline + 1 minute. Though we hope this is being cleared ( = the escrow funds are sent without legal actions) we are prepared.

I've just got in contact with an Exchange based close to where I live in London. They are low volume but not compromising on quality and security...building things slowly and legally imho. They are a real company with real staff (transparent identities), real offices etc etc. I'm not saying I know that they are safe but I've just asked them...why not go for the kill now? Why not offer zero trading fees for a while? Bonuses for volume? I'd be moving heaven and earth if I were them right now. Your rivals are down...keep twatting them with a stick until you know they're dead! On a more savoury note...the sooner we can get away from centralised exchange the better. Its going to take a far bigger brain than mine to make that happen though. I can help swing a stick though...

+1, I would be on a marketing Jihad as well, advertising some form of redundancy and backup for all customer funds...
The key for real customer fund safety on exchanges is when exchanges don't take customer funds at all. Exchanges should be places where customers can connect through their wallets when they intend to trade. The trade is made on the exchanges and the coins are sent directly from customer wallet to customer wallet and a fee is taken from the exchange. This way exchanges have no power over customer funds at all; it's only the place where the trade is made.
