I have been mining at nicehash and hashpower for the last months. I have also tested the nicehash miner but i get a bit lower speed on all cards with it. But yeah, i think i can call myself a poolguy. Right now i am not really sure what to do, keep these or replace them with 3x970 cards.
3x970 should give me around 30Mhs Lyra2rev2 @ around 430w ?
With 970 cards i should gain like 7Mhs and only get around 50-75w higher powerdraw.
I try to look at all factors as I have the system running in my room. You can get more cards, but with 7 mh/s, you'll also get more heat. I think of it as a way that may be you should get 2x970's, and find a 980 at a cheap price, it'll definitely be a win situation. You'll always have that one itch for adding more cards. I've left room for one or two more cards on the motherboard, also have enough power to power them all. Honestly, right now I'm just waiting for Pascal which is rumored to be out in Q1 16. I am not sure what to think about Pascal yet. I think all the performance hype is quite overrated actually. GDDR5x was a possible alternative if HBM was unavailable or not stable enough... ive read HBM2 also but maybe only for the next ones and/or the top ones

But we will have to wait and see when someone get their hands on some new cards. Not really, it's not just about hardware. After compute 3.5, the jump to compute-5 with maxwell changed the game quite a bit.

Don't forget that the mining software has been optimized to become 50% faster in 1 year. Most of the work has been done by me.. in sept 2014, x11 was hashing at 6.6MHASH with the djm34 miner. I can see it in the link. I don't have a compute 3.5 card. Maybe there are some possible speedups to be made on the 780ti. Anyone with a 780ti card who can compile the latest version (add compute 3.5 in the projectfile (or makefile) What hashrates are you getting? EVGA 780ti SC +100 GPU OC Quark: 11.7 MH/s X11: 6.35 MH/s Lyra2v2: 7.7 MH/s Neo: 330 KH/s (375 with r58) But release 74 doesn't give a boost comparing to the old ccminer on compute 3.5. Most of the optimalizations are Maxwell only..

Some quick Quark testing. Cards overclocked 180Mhz 1 year ago quark was doing 14MHASH with heavy overclocking. so you got a 50% free boost with the SP-MOD

If only the market was still there for Quark... Right now it's Neo and Neo hasn't seen improvements in ages. The coins that use it also seem to be dominated by botnets using CPU miners.

And the 64bit build is around 10-15% slower than the x86 cuda 6.5 build. can i safely assume this is windows sp? ... the linux compiles are running better than the cuda6.5 compiles that i was building prior to the fedora 22 x64 upgrade ... and being x64 native - maybe that has something to do with it ... i dont use anything x86 - unless they only come in i686 format on linux ... and there is no other option ( which is quite rare in linux ) ... #crysx
