Regularly Lyra2RE is profitable with NiceHash. Wonder which coin peoples are mining.

how much is profitable? how much with one 970 per day?

Lyra2 is even more profitable mining with a CPU using cpuminer-opt (see sig). It's normalised profitability
rate is 1.25 x11 vs ccminer at .336.

what this mean? i can not understand your profit in your post

It has to do with the efficiency of the device mining a particular algo. A CPU can hash lyra2 1.25 times
what it hashes x11. There are only a couple of algos that are CPU advantaged, lyra2 is one and cryptonight is
likely another.

Edit: the following claim was made using outaded measurements, the CPU advantage is less than stated.
Actual numbers are 1.1 MH for 750ti and 930 KH for i7-6700K.

A Core i-4790K @4 GHz will outperfrom a GTX750ti in raw hashrate on lyra2. That's nearly four times more hash with
a two times less power efficient device. A net gain of double the power efficiency for equal hash rate. Unfortunately
CPUs don't scale easilly, can't put 6 in one rig like with GPUs.

The GTX9xx cards perform a little better than the 750ti but the CPU still has the advantage with this algo.

Lyra2re is paying 2.5Btc/ghash. 1 750ti shoild do around 1.1mhash with the sp-mod

(1.1/1000)*2.5 gives you 1 dollar per day.

I'm getting 930K on a 6700K.

Wich is good. Lyra2re was replaced by lyra2v2 because the botnets had most of the hashrate. (Vertcoin, lyrabar)  lyra2v2 is usually  also more profitable to mine.

Untfortunately my attempts to optimise lyra2v2 have not succeeded.

I still don't know why lyra2 is so hot right now, but I'm not complaining.
I can't even take credit for the lyra2 performance, it's unchanged since I forked from TPruvot.

@sp - I cannot download your open source miners because it says it has detected a threat and the software contains a malwaregen32?  Why does it find that?  Is it a compressed file?

Do you ever test with QUADRO cards? Want me to test with QUADRO M6000 12GB ever?
Because pretty much any of the latest sp-mod ccminers both cuda 6.5 or 7.5 only make around 23MH/s Quark on the card and I think it should actually be better than 980ti right? Is it a settings thing or just need to be coded for different GPU architecture or what?

You should buy my private miner. (0.1 btc) the opensource is slower.

Did you try with increased i intensities? Try  -i 25 , -i 25.5 or perhaps -i 26

The quadro has 3072 CUDA Cores and is clocked at 1000mhz

The 980ti has 2740 CUDA Cores and can be clocked stable at 1500mhz.(gigabyte windforce  g1 gaming.)

I am working on the sp-mod ultimate. Most of the kernals merged into one. Since #6 will include decred,vcach,blake2s the price will be more than 0.1 BTC.

I have added some more quark hash:

This private miner will earn 0,00142592BTC / day @32MHASH quark. (zpool.ca) ($6.13)
Genoils etherum miner will give you ($4.71) of 24 hours of mining. on the same card.
Donators will get discounts on #6 when it's ready.

The pic was taken  with -i 25 1500mhz core clock. Reduced  Memclock . Gigbyte windforce 980ti g1 gaming

You can buy #5(with a boost in x11,x13.x15,quark,lyra2v2,nist5, neoscrypt) for just 0.1 btc.

In my buyable private miner the gtx 960 is around 10% faster.
I doubled the speed in the cubehash algo.
I reduced the  number of registers needed in the lyra algo by moving some to the level 1 cache(by adding memory access). + some other tweaks. All the algos have been optimized.

Yes a virus that was attached to a new miner listed on Cryptomining Blog.  It had a trojan with keylogger built in.  Unfortunately I wasn't running AV or anti keylogger at the time (I know stupid of me) and got wiped out.  So like I said.  I am paranoid now.

Sp_ I noticed that when I start mining decred sometimes some of the cards won't start hashing and their GPU usage stays 0. This seems more frequent with release 7 but it's also there with release 4.
The cards are not crashing or anything, the miner just doesn't start using them. If I restart the same .bat it sometimes work.

Lowering or increasing intensity or poolside difficulty had no effect. Different pools also had no effect. Issue is the same on 750 Ti and 970 on all of my rigs so it's likely the issue is not exclusive to me.

Here's a graph just to shows what I mean:

Explanation: the graph represents a bunch of 1 minute mining sessions with 10 second breaks between them on a loop. So the spikes are the 1 minute sessions and the small drops are the 10 second breaks (just for visibility purposes) and the big drops are when some of the cards are not hashing.

The .bat file had no extra parameters for ccminer.

cryptomining blog really? that site is huge for mining, how they can not check for malicious code, are they stupid? what was the miner with the virus?

Hrmm at this point I cannot remember the title but I remember it said tpruvot 1.7 or so.  Obviously a scam since when after the fact I went to the github and saw tpruvot wasn't even on 1.7 - lol - hind sight is always 20/20.

Any chance you mined Oxen?

Some people confused ccminer having malicious code instead of Oxen which was malicious.

Apparently people can hide their malicious stuff with FUD crypters so the virus can't be detected and can be triggered anytime, even like months later.

This is the blocking sync issue on 2 core celeron rigs. I think i can turn of the flag for the first minute of mining and then switch it back on afterwards. 100% cpu usage down to 0.

Yep, dual core pentiums (G3420). If I start the miner with affinity to only use 1 core it's even worse so it confirms it.

Now that I know what caused it I found a quick workaround that works perfectly which is to start two instances of ccminer.
For example one with -d 0,1,2 and the other with -d 3,4.

I only noticed this with decred but I'm wondering if other algos affected?
