Is there a particular reason Decred is tanking? I assume someone else has a better private kernel out there, it's no longer on par with Ethereum. Maybe even perhaps 40%~ better then SPs release. Could also be getting raped by FPGAs already.

The Chinese can program too. Most hash comes from them.

That's 20 btc trade volume vs 10000 btc trade volume and you guys think the exchange rate has anything to do with mining?

Hi! small question what intensity (other than default) is recommended for sp_'s ccminer on DECRED?
because with standard diff (which i don't know what it is) my hashrate swings up and down all the time in zpool.ca, but usually the average is 10-15% lower than it should be.
thanks. indkt

depends on the card mate ... but i found that 29.6 seems to work REALLY well on most of the cards of thefarm ( gigabyte 750ti oc lp and gigabyte 980ti g1 ) ... though i have not tested any of the later decred versions since #5 - as im still settling in after my move ... #crysx

I don't think -i is the only thing you're looking for. If you have infrequent share submissions which causes the to pool report a widely fluctuating hashrate you can smooth it out by lowering the diff encoded in the password argument on yaamp clones (ie "-p d=0.5"). This will also vary by card with bigger cards being able to handle a higher diff. Too low causes excessive network traffic and rejects. It's easier to verify hashrate when it's more stable. Edit: more specifically diff varies by rig hashrate and bigger rigs can handle higher diff. -i, or intensity is a way to max resource usage on cards and, as crysx said, varies by card. SP has tuned the defaults for most maxwell cards pretty well but you can play with it to see if you can squeeze out a bit more hash. If it's set too high ccminer will crash. Just try with a lower value.

if you look close they are following the same cycle of pump and dump, between 0.004 and 0.006, i would buy massively at 0.004, it will probably return once again at 0.006, but don't forget that pos miners are dumping for free

In other news, Eth is finally buckling and is coming in line with other coins. Poor AMD miners are stuck on that train till it ends though. SP what are you getting for x11 on a 970?

Every other coin not only is efficiency crap, but so is the hashrate unless you sucked enough of Wolf's dick you got his kernels.

I get 18.5 quark on a EVGA 970 with +100 OC with the FOS version. Hard to justify paying .1 BTC. How much are you holding back in your super-private version?

I guess my private #5 will do do 19 mhash on the same clocks. But you also get a boost in x11,x13,x15,nist5,lya2v2,neoscrypt. 0.1 btc is nothing. Alot if hard work to reach these kernal speeds.

I appreciate the hard work, I've done a lot in the past couple of months. I know a lot of it has been cut & paste but there is original work also. But hard work doesn't sell a product. For the 3% increase you are offering one would need 3 970s to break even. That would give 9% increase for 10% of the price of a 970 compared to 100% increase for 100% of the price of a 970. I'm not big enough yet.

Here is a comparison between the sp-mod private #5 and 1.7.5 official binaries. I just did a comparison between my buyable private miner (0.1BTC) and the latest 1.7.5 release. I have written 0-10% faster, but I should have written 17-74% faster
Sp-Mod #5 default intensities hashrates in MHASH/s. (980ti 1290 coreclock/1650 memclock)
nist5: 43.80 (+17%) quark: 27.85 (+61,91%) lyra2v2 16.10 (+16.6%) x11: 12.85 (+18%) x13: 10.27 (+19.97) x15: 8.83 (+18.52 ) neoscrypt: 0.99 (+73.68%)
1.7.5: (32bit windows build cuda 7.5) default intensities in MHASH/s (980ti 1290 coreclock/1650 memclock)
nist5: 37.45 quark: 17.20 lyra2v2: 13.81 x11: 10.88 x13: 8.56 x15: 7.45 neoscrypt: 0.57
1.7.5: (32bit windows build cuda 6.5) (980ti 1290 coreclock/1650 memclock)
nist5: 38.93 quark: 17.5 lyra2v2: 13.18 x11: 10.95 x13: 8.88 x15: 7.7 neoscrypt: 0.71
