Hi - I received my C1 today.  I got it all setup and powered on (the light is red), but I am unable to connect to it via a browser or ssh.  The manual says 192.168.1.99, but I can't get to that address.  My router doesn't even list a machine with that IP address (or anything else that might be the miner).  I have tried:

Wireless laptop to 192.168.1.99
Wired laptop to 192.168.1.99
Wired directly from laptop to miner - wouldn't open the page

I'm at a loss as what to do or how to troubleshoot this.  The manual doesn't say much except, "Step 1. Connect your miner and PC via network cable."  Well, I have tried every combination of what that could mean and none have brought me much luck.

Can anyone help?  Thanks in advance.

What IP range is your network using?  If you aren't sure, what is the IP of your local machine?  If it's not 192.168.1.something, you won't be able to connect to it without changing an IP address somewhere.

I use 192.168.0.* on my network.  When I got a new Ant miner, I'd switch the IP address on my laptop to something in the 192.168.1.* range and plug the laptop directly into the miner.  I'd then go to 192.168.1.99, and change the IP on the Ant to one that works on my network.  Once I apply it, I'd disconnect it from my laptop, and plug it into my network, and change the IP on my laptop back to the 192.168.0.* range.

Anyone have a meter or Kill-A-Watt hooked up to their C1?  I've notice something that I can't figure out.  So when I started running the C1, the meter showed after a while that it had settled at about 760 watts, but a day or two later it settled at about 860 watts and there it stayed (these are ratings after the power supply so add about 9% for at the wall power draw).  This morning the circuit breaker tripped over an hour ago, when I reset it and the C1 got hashing again, the meter is showing about 770 watts for over an hour now.  The C1 was off for only a couple minutes, so not enough time for the coolant to cool down much, so I don't think it's heat related.  Anyone know?  The hashing power shows the same on the C1 interface and the pool website now as before (actually a bit better, previously it was about 1,005 Gh/s on interface and 990 Gh/s on pool website).

I start at about 830W and will creep up to 900W after a few days, powered with a HX1050.

C1 arrived in a record time. Miner is ok, but the cooling kit is the worst thing i have ever seen. The water pump leaked on the first power up and died after 1 minute work, wiring for the fans is bad soldered and the wires are so thin, tubes for the radiators soften if the miner has temperature over 40C. They should take care about this. Syscool should raise the price for 5-10 usd and sell quality not quantity ! ! ! Next purchase will be only miner. I dont need crap

Only bad thing about this miner is the cooling kit. I replaced my defective fans (the ones Bitmain wouldn't honor with an RMA on a brand new C1) with a high quality high CFM, but quiet fan and is keeping my temps down 2 degrees across the board.

I had one broken fan - out of the box.

What make/model of fan did use for the replacement?

For the radiator fans you can use pretty much any mid range model, or 2x cheaper fans.

Possible cause to and solution to pump malfunction and system running hotter that some of you may have if you plug the harness directly on your power supply.

I installed a second C1 this afternoon for a friend. At first the pump was not functioning. I checked the current on the wiring harness with a multimeter and discovered that I was running on 3.5v. I checked the pin-out of the 6 pins aux on the power supply and discovered that the 12v was coming from another pin than what the harness was expecting. The fan were spinning on 3.5v. For fun I tried to plug the harness on the 5v and discovered that the pump is running but a lot slower and the miner was about 5 degree hotter when the fan and pump run on 5v but it's working.

So if you plug the harness directly on your power supply check the voltage that you have. You might think that the pump is not working because your harness receive 3.5v. Also your system might run hotter just because you are on 5v.

In the end the miner is working perfectly.

I can say I had two with cold ambient temps.  Temp was not cause.

On a side note I am still using the ebay pumps and amazon molex to 3 pin power adapter all of which is working good.

Sure! I am using http://www.ebay.com/itm/380693788606 powered by www.amazon.com/Phobya-4-Pin-3-Pin-Splitter-Connection/dp/B007S3T4O0 .

There could be better ones out there.  I just had to get one in a hurry to get my miners back up.  Those did the trick.

Batch 2 C1 includes a watercooling kit so you don't have to buy it separately, but you must install it to run C1.

I'm using the exact same pump connected to the syscooling gen 2 harness...it has worked fine for a number of weeks at this point.

Not all fans are created equal.

Airflow (CFM)
Noise (db)
Speed
Price

I have been using an el cheapo case fan as a replacement.
That C1 runs hotter and I can tell the Airflow is significantly less on that fan.

Decided I would try to set up two C1's on a single pump, am going to try this pump/reservoir to run two radiators and two C1's.  We'll see if it's enough in the next couple weeks.

Interesting, I thought I would try this, I am getting a constant 788W with a EVGA 1300W it does not move? I have a batch one with my own coolermaster coolant setup Rad/reservoir. I can try on another if you like, I should be getting a batch 2 through soon with the supplied water cooled system.

Mine has been running at a constant 770 watts for 3 days now.  It's strange to me that it crept up to 830-860 watts previously, but plan to just reboot it if it does it again.

Anyone know where to get and what the correct terms are for the water cooling connectors from the C1 to the tubing?  I need to get ones that are 90 degrees curved.  Is G1/4 90 degree barb correct and what about the 1/2 or 3/8?

I believe 3/8 ID if using the syscooling tubes.  (Please some correct me or verify before OP uses this number to order parts)
