As someone that has been around the grow scene for more then 20 years now, I welcome this initiative.
Crypto and weed is a good combination imo. Looking out for an Android wallet for my supplier and who knows a growbulb that also mines. ^^
No ICO for me, but I will be glad to buy some GROW when it hits an exchange.

Atm I'm looking into growing with the use of LED (low power usage and no heat) and I hope to exchange experiences with fellow grow enthusiasts.
Not only from fellow dutchmen, but from all over the world.

I guess you could build a Scryptminer outfitted with LEDs since every where current flows, a LED is never in the way!

Hey Gizfreak!

I am beginning to believe the LED is slowly becoming the future for grow lamps. They are by far more efficient then usual MIH/HPS bulbs and can last up to 5 times longer!

Sadly many of the companies selling LED lamps are wildly misconstruing their customers when it comes to total output   (as in saying a light puts out ~300 watts when in reality it only pulls 160-180 from the wall) The reason for this is simple, they are using 3w chips but only running them at about 50-60%.

Be careful when buying! A few good companies that I have seen are growblu, platinumLED, Black dog (I think). And a few other very straightforward sellers. I am actually looking into building my own panel using COB (Chip-on-Board) LED's from Cree or Bridgelux.

Check out the LED section on RIU, there are a dozen or so genius level guys building kick-ass DIY lights over there. Some of the science/growing over there is simply astonishing

Oh and P.S. if someone is telling you an LED doesn't put out heat they are trying to sell you something   An LED lamp will usually exhaust its heat upward and away from the canopy but, while they don't require a ventilation system like and HPS bulb would it still requires some attention.

If 1 white widow seed costs .05 you are pricing them about double what I can buy black widow from Mr Nice. (their current black widow is the original White widow from the early 90's).  I know the prices are not set just please be aware of your prices. Also, not all seeds are created equal (not by a longshot).  You are not going to be able to charge a premium from the start.

He claims he still has the OG parents of the White widow and Arjan doesnt really argue it.  Alot of seed companies have black widow and they vary as far as what they are. But Mr Nice released his Black widow using the same parents as the OG white widow. He released it as Black Widow because every seed company under the stars had released a "white widow". Some closer to the original than others.

When it comes to shanti's seeds, it can take some pheno hunting. But when you find it..... it's definitely worth it. . .
He also doesnt believe in feminized breeding which I agree with for the most part. Fem seeds are nice, dont get me wrong. But they can be more hit and miss.

Nice, something about selecting the perfect male just feels right to me .  That is why I tend to believe Mr Nice is the original. They only offer it in regular seeds so you can be certain they have a male.. Anyone can buy a widow clone, mist it with some spray to hermi it and get S2 seeds..  That being said I think most people will still pick up fem seeds. Which for the average home grower is fine (and arguable better).

Keep your eyes open for a good source for some Blue Dream seeds (blueberry x Haze). A buddy grew some that was SOOOO bomb. His he got as a clone from SoCal though. It was original DJ short sativa blueberry x Silver Haze.....  YUM. . .  edit: think it was silver haze... or maybe ssh..
