74.9!

Not enough people selling.

Would it be bad if the market ran out of sellers for a while ?

I'd be selling if all of my bitcoins weren't already tied up into loans...

Crap.  I'll never be able to make this kind of profit from a short term loan.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

No kidding. I'd be significantly out before then. I could take care of everyone in my immediate family (pay off their debts) and set my mom and pop up in a house that is fully paid for.

Don't forget the fact that you lose half in taxes  Sad

Oh, there will always be sellers, provided the price is right.

Guys, you remember when we all dreamed of the far distant day of getting to a new ATH?

Good times.

why does it seem such a long time ago, though. Is there a psychological explanation for this?

I meant it mostly as a joke, but we humans do have a crazy ability to adapt to new situations quickly and expect it to continue to be that way indefinitely.

Even if none of the speculators are selling, BitPay and other payment processors need to get local currency to pay their merchants.

Really? That's disconcerting. This thread is my favorite on the forum because it constantly derails and then bounces right back on the next wall post.

There's not really a thread like it on the forum.

my completely speculative guess: we take a breather at 71-72, then spike up again, then decent selloff

~BTC35k to $50.

I'm surprised it hasn't happened, but I guess when those huge BTC3k+ buys roll in any dumper second guesses doing so.

I will sell as much as possible via https://localbitcoins.com/ - to taxes when you sell for cash...
Damn,Just checked the site and found someone willing to pay $80 per BTC.

BTC is now worth more than 1 gram of gold. Shocked
