I think it was funny. Not for those in it though. Seriously, if one were even slightly bearish/not bullish enough, he would probably fall for it, it was a bloodbath. no

You just described my late spring and early summer in 2011. Fuck daytrading this market. This time I'll just ride and continue to dollar cost average. If I find myself with too much money in bitcoins, I'll spend a few like I've done many times. It's really starting to be easier than credit cards for most things I would buy online. Just an address I can copy and paste and an amount instead of typing in a 16 digit number, a date, and a 3 digit number after I go get my physical wallet. It's going to get even easier with the payment protocol and the lack of product availability is quickly evaporating. To me it makes sense to hold my excess funds in bitcoin, even knowing it will go against me at times. Dollar cost averaging will ensure that I stock up when prices are low.

Wow! We are NOWHERE NEAR the top of this bull run.
I have watched and traded commodities futures markets for several years and have never seen a new high posted straight after such a massive sell-off, let alone one that ripped the price down 15%!
All that has happened today is that several big holders of bitcoin called a top at $26 and took their profits. Turns out that they burned their coins too soon. The main trend is intact.
Yes, I was baffled ! You think you know something about human psychology and the market, and then the market just takes you for a spin...

looks like this dump and recovery was orchestrated for people to believe that the buying pressure is high and the price will go to the moon. I feel some people will get burned. BTW, I'm not bear, I'm actually running some bots and this volatility is awesome for me

BTW, I'm not bear, I'm actually running some bots and this volatility is awesome for me what about the other recent sell offs and moderately quick recoveries someone would need insane amounts of money and BTC in order to single handedly do something like that, id rather keep slowly growing instead of the ups and downs but what can you do other than ride out what comes along, im betting up until we see a real reversal and days/weeks of down til then im happy with Up would be happier with stable
