So if this is truly do to user volume, are we going to see one hell of a sell off?

I blame the hamsters
It's always the hamsters. This is what Gox is saying on their twitter: Due to high volume trading at the moment, there is a lag in trading and order cancellation. WOW! I totally believe this lag is 100% due to trading. Hurp-aderpderp I think this is their standard lag response

At worst we'll see a dip to 120 or something before exploding up again.

Question from a computer network beginner: How do you tell the difference between a DDoS attack and a website that is being flooded with too much real traffic?
There is no difference other than malicious intent. Both are, effectively, "too much traffic".

So next is the "win" stage... cool...

Let's speculate on the price after they've reopened. I'm guessing we're headed for $122.

Got back into MtGox Funds still there. Orders cancelled (I had tried to cancel them) Account number changed.
If this is all part of the coinlab transition...a little notice would have been nice.

Well before trading halted a massive wall popped up at $150. There is only a 14k wall at $110...22k at $100. We might just dip to say $97 for a moment.

This is what I'm kinda leanin' toward at this point. The "database error" message seems decent evidence of this. Super unprofessional and stupid to boot if they did indeed decide to randomly upgrade without warning and in the middle of a huge rally.

DB errors and everyone's account # changed. Good news is BTC-E and Bitstamp are still holing around $135.

I was able to login a bit after the database error message. My account does have an "M" in front of it. I don't use MtGox, so can't test order cancellation and such.

They might have thought a stop in the middle of it would act as some sort of trading circuit breaker, keeping the price sane. Just conspiracy theory.
