Hmmm... aren't the messages on the forum time-stamped already?

Yes, but he posted images that he'd taken hours or days before he started the thread, I believe.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

I wonder why turning on the "show volume" (the option that darkens the green line anywhere the volume spikes) isn't simply on by default.  It's extra information at a cost of zero screen clutter.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

yes the first 2 do not have a correct times stamp but are relatively new

the time from the posts should be fine

Here's a clue. If you are using statistical methods for trading based on order book movements you can eliminate a lot of the distortions created by the 'walls' with smooth bootstrapping.

Interesting, I've never analyzed this type of stuff before. Do you have any more info on how to do this? Thanks.

Yup! First the $5.5 ask was pulled, then the $5.3 bid was moved up to $5.4. A minute later the $5.5 ask popped back up, and the $5.4 bid was moved back down to $5.3, then a few minutes later, both were pulled and haven't been seen since.

Dang, I don't know if I should be happy or sad. I mean, I want bitcoin to increase in value, but I also want to get my grubby hands on as many of them as possible beforehand. So conflicted...
