I wouldn't be surprised if his "business" is some sort of "church" or "charity"

Has to be that. Only place or people that would "forgive" him and then throw money at him for repenting like that.  Has to be some sheeple in a church ready for a fleecing. No other way anyone sane would do business with him now.  Where's that young pastor that got roped in for half a mil, wow completely forgotten his name. Even had live video shows. Matt something? Only way possible one can get large sums of money while being a convict. The more heinous the better the bigger the tears for forgiveness the more the money rolls in  Cheesy Cheesy  Didn't they already create some scam charity or church like setup early on? Totally this is it, Homero's next big heist, seances to the the Almighty above through used glass dildos.

His whole religious affiliation thing is a sham.  As I recall, he and his wife were listed on their church's website as giving some talk about how to have a successful marriage or some shit in the very midst of his scamming.  He's been claiming to be a jebus freak all along while simultaneously lying and scamming people and cheating on his wife.

Anyway, glad to see the shitbag got actual prison time.  The very least he deserves.  Too bad carlos the drunkard isn't getting some too.

Wow, I'm really learning more and more about this guy, it's really amazing if you come to think of it, all the personalities caught up with crypto and Bitcoin. Makes you wonder, with all the Garzas and the Mcafees, could one day we also be hearing of big news headlines happening to some of the top dogs in crypto now?

The worse thing to me is that all of these guys aren't even really Bitcoin at heart. And yet they made all the money. I mean come on, less than 2 years, probably in white collar prison, and when he comes out, he'll get to enjoy all the money stashed away. Probably write a book to tell his version of things and get a whole new round of sympathizers.

GainBitcoin scammer Amit Bhardwaj went to prison - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3161969.0

GAW scammer Josh Garza going to prison - https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2018/09/man-who-swindled-9m-in-wannabe-bitcoin-ponzi-scheme-headed-to-prison/

Now, the question is...

1. Will PB Mining scammer Jason Boyko get away with it?

2. Will Asic Miner scammer FriedCat aka Jiang Xinyu get away with it?

Let's hope so. There are sooo many scammers still out there, giving Bitcoin a bad name. In a way, these people are all needed. I guess crypto always needed to grow up and mature, and thanks to all these guys, they gave it prominence.

So he started a fake charity or mlm?

Hey Bitpop: long time I didn't see you here... what do you think about the Sentence??
Do you think we will have a refund or the 21 months in prison is all WE have as a refund for the Josh Garza fraud??

Have a productive day

Little more detail:

https://www.reformer.com/stories/garza-gets-21-month-sentence-for-bitcoin-scheme,550382

Weird to me how the judge thinks his sentence is quite stern.  Seems to comprehend the severity of it all and thinks his sentence is just.

For some reason I thought Shinners was much younger   Smiley

He still uses this "Naughty Corner" pic from the 1980s  Grin Even in his email, LOL.

I'm over at Jessica's staking my paycorn sperms in her hashlet uterus. She said I can come press the button every twenty four hours and her piss clam goes into boost mode. I get to glass dildo her dinner dumper also. What a sweet heart for compensating a few of us.

So that's their new business model. Seems legit.
The apple doesn't fall from the tree:

Quote
He started a new business, said Garza's father-in-law, to find a way to pay back his victims and "Because of his strong faith and because it would make God happy.

We need to neuter these people. Can't believe Jessica is preggers again.

Idk but uncle stu should've gotten more. He made this possible. Homero is a puppet.

LOL, well, let's just enjoy how desperate these shitheads are that they had to resort to some cockamamie bullshit trying to keep their beloved scammer out of prison.

Well if it's the one where you drink the wine and chew the wafer,
he just has to fess up to some pedophile priest in a booth and all will be forgiven....

Yeah but they're not Catholics AFAIK and converting to Catholicism is a pain in the ass (no pun intended, I swear to God). I think it's easier to join one of the prosperity cults that say wealth is the will of God or just create their own church. Actually some of those "character witness" statements sound like they do have their own cult.

I had a feeling you'd like it Grin

Now what are the chances that the following paragraph supposedly written by his father-in-law is one of Homero's fantasies, à la "Elon gifted me a Tesla":

Quote
His activity and involvement in his church was also spread intemationally. On behalf of a small church in Vermont around 2008 or 2009, Josh traveled to Haiti with his pastor and some of his company technicians and engineers to set up a computer lab at an orphanage. This was all done at Josh's expense including computers, travel, furniture etc. He and his companions remained in Haiti for a couple of weeks setting everything up and teaching the children basic computer skills.
https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.ctd.119042/gov.uscourts.ctd.119042.34.1.pdf (page L9)

I mean come on... computer lab... orphanage... Haiti... more likely he embezzled a few grand from his "business" and made up a cover-up story for uncle Stu. Speaking of which, where is that character reference? His long-time business partner surely would have something to say about him, no?

The judge noted according to sentencing guidelines, he could have sent Josh Garza to jail for 63 months. In addition to imposing a just punishment, said Chatigny, it was also necessary to send a message that this type of conduct won't be tolerated.

perfect examples of how to sway a judge with "how good this person is" letters. and they seem to have worked.

you know they will be studied by scammers everywhere as "must have tools" in their scam toolbox.

That man never asked for forgiveness for anything, because he's NEVER done anything wrong.  Off-topic?  Nah. Garza has the same narcissistic psychosis.
