I seriously wonder what is taking so long?  Usually a reschedule is like a month or so in the future.  I wonder what is really going on?  Has anyone called or heard what might be the next court date or what is going on?

Let's say you're a judge who loves having your balls cupped. The accused standing before you is a renown ballcupper. How many rescheduled court dates would you reward said accused?

judge..."counselor, please approach the bench"
(whispers) "I hear your client is a renown ball cupper!"
lawyer..."um, well that depends..."
judge...  "I can delay sentencing ... btw, my balls are in dire need of cupping!"...
lawyer... "hmmm.. let me talk to my client...."

(10 minutes later)

judge..."sentencing date has been rescheduled, court is adjourned!"
(bangs gavel)

(days later...)

... Thanks, Homero, you ball-cupping betrayer.

that's what the judge said...

Monday, June 04, 2018

ORDER: The court concludes that the discovery dispute at issue is best decided upon a motion and briefing. Any such motion shall be filed by June 13, 2018. Plaintiffs' opposition shall include an adequately detailed privilege log. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 26(b)(5) and Local Rule 26(e). Such a log should be accompanied by an evidentiary declaration of an individual with personal knowledge of the facts. See Davis v. City of New York , No. 10 CIV. 699(SAS)(HBP), 2012 WL 612794, at *5 (S.D.N.Y. Feb. 27, 2012) ([T]he parties asserting privilege... have the burden of establishing through [their] privilege log, affidavits, or other evidentiary material that the elements of the privilege exist.") The court reserves decision as to whether, after review of the parties' briefs, it shall conduct an in camera review. Signed by Judge Donna F. Martinez on 6/4/2018.(Constantine, A.)

Grin Grin See ya there Homero, can't wait to finally get some closure on this case. Already plead guilty as charged (with some nice little deals thrown in to make it easy for prosecution) and now we know when he'll answer for his crimes. I guess the real question is, what took them so long? Will Homero be able to slither his way out of another sticky situation? Stay tuned.

Judge has discretion.

That's why it's important that victims get their statements in.

If The Muggles make a strong showing, the Judge will have to increase the sentence.

Allen Shinners will fly to Hartford to paint a clear portrait of Garza as a punk and a flake for the judge.

Remember that the Defense is trying to mitigate his sentence because of all the "pain and suffering" he endured on the Internet,  Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin
(He perfected Internet bullying and censorship first, of course.)

If anyone missed my memos on how to file a victim impact statement, PM me.
