Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Hold on. You are saying Bitjane is actually a woman? No effing way. I thought for sure it was Art Garfunkel in drag.

No... it's Richard Simmons!

With BTC testing 215 dollars - 60 dollars above funeral arrangements I guess - it´s understandable that tempers are short and nerves frayed. Now shorts are covering before the next leg down. I think they´ll check out 180-190.

Next.
Please either stop the nonsense or go find another forum to bash BTC. You made your point regarding how you feel about BTC. Now, stop wasting everyone else's time.

If anyone wants to make fun of someone's scheming and/or bash a wannabe crypto with no intrinsic value, please, buy all means get back to the topic of this thread.

Well, like the real crypto market, you obviously do not know me or my involvement relating to Garza's conduct so please, just move along. There is apparently nothing of value to or for you here.

So, when bitcoin is at $150, which seems increasingly likely, and all those big mining concerns have given up the ghost, what happens to the blockchain ?

https://i.imgur.com/rxfgoL8.jpg

I respectfully would ask you to please stop posting this picture of my brother.  He has many issues, and holding XPY or BTC are not among them.  Please do not make fun of those that were born with Downs Syndrome.  They can only TRY to lead lives that are normal, but it is very hard on him with all of the staring and pointing.

Please understand, you may post anything verbally that you choose to, but I ask that you refrain from using his image in a desultory manner.

Thank you.

I agree, please stop using it

I also agree. This is in poor taste and insulting.

If any of you actually gave a fuck, you'd stop re-posting the pic. Also please explain to me who I or anyone else is allowed to make fun of and who gets to decide what poor taste or insulting is. Can we make fun of dumb people but not really, really dumb people? When is someone dumb enough to be made fun of as opposed to too dumb and then magically off limits to jokes(aka not PC)? Are we not allowed to joke about anyone with inborn indignities and how does one go about determining what was inborn or not? Obviously down's syndrome is an inborn indignity but what about people that are just plain dumb. It's all bad genes right?

Moral of the story: It was a fucking joke. Lighten up Francis. If you find it offensive then change the channel. You either get complete freedom or none at all.
First some are born with genuine obvious birth defects,,, so always they should not be used for jokes here or anywhere or someone needs their head stomped on. Secondly, then there is just stupid dumb people who get dumber with age whether it be poor genes or they just like being dumb sorta like galdur. Point is leave the handicap people out of the jokes, no need to be disrespectful to them or their family's who care for them 24/7. This should all go without saying anyways...

So, now they´ve covered it seems. Notice how quickly it drops. I´m not sure they´ll try 180 in the next day or two necessarily, maybe a little probing first.

I believe this new writer is attempting to use their self-assigned grandiose outlook of Garza's mythical position within the industry to twist reality in a failed attempt to place Garza on a podium of righteousness he really couldn't understand or live up to even if his life depended on it. In other words, this ghost writer for Garza appears to be just as self-centered and ego-driven as he is.  Roll Eyes

Just another day in Garza's paradise...  Tongue

Yeah I got a laugh out of that post as well.

The nice thing about it is that the Ars Technica article is getting publicity before even being published. Mr. Garza must be really concerned if he's having his creative writer do these rebuttals for something that doesn't even exist. This one is probably related too, not sure if this is about the same reporter or not:

https://blog.paybase.com/reflections-on-the-media-a-primer-for-us-all/
https://hashtalk.org/topic/28975

Despite my best efforts to explain the increasingly important role Paycoin™ enjoys, in addition to my defense of cryptocurrencies in general, I quickly recognized that the reporter's adversarial approach – his disbelief that there is even a market for digital currencies, followed by an almost contemptuous attitude about some very straightforward numbers – left me with one of two options, fight or flight.

I could have thrown a combination of air punches, or I could have not so much fled as I could – and did – state my case with evidence . . . and politely conclude the "conversation."

Edit: actually I would like to see that "case with evidence". But it's probably "much like a mathematical equation" - exists only in prose.

If it's the same reporter it would explain why he's making preemptive strikes against ars technica. Incoming!

He's also got to be frustrated that even many of the HT faithful saw the "$20 buyback" program for what it really was. I'll bet he was expecting a good pre-conference bounce.

People will mine Bitcoin at a short term loss. The big mining farms will not, but the people will once again take control of the currency. This just proves how awesome and decentralized Bitcoin is. A hundred thousand people losing $10 a month is way more manageable than one entity losing $1,000,000 a month mining. When people get too greedy and want a large portion of the hashrate, this is what happens. Go Bitcoin go! Drop more and give the power back to the people. Show the greedy pigs what they deserve :')

Bye  Cool

Whoa. All this talk about being kind to retards and this guy comes right out and says he is fucking morons and has to go for now? Shocking.

All of my posts are simply statements of my own personal opinions based on available information and pondering what might be possible considering human nature, with the goal of finding truth and preventing fraud.
