If GAW knows this paycoin is not gonna fly I suspect they will again postpone the launch till after the new years and this coming weekend as the next excuse
I don't think it's binary. They delay on the 29th because they know it's a failure or they release on the 29th because they know it will be a success. GAW has never had a release go smoothly. Give it six months. That's a lifetime in crypto. Just because you have XPY at $20 for a few weeks does not mean things are successful. From a purely economic standpoint, I don't understand how the XPY ecosystem is going to work. There is so much sell pressure building up over at HT that I'm surprised people haven't given themselves strokes. Almost every post is how they are going to sell part of their XPY holdings at $20 on Monday and buy themselves something special. With all that sell pressure, the only way to maintain the price is for GAW to purchase at that price. They have already backed away from that statement. Even if you set aside the short term, I don't understand how the long term works given the extreme inflationary nature of XPY. The smart ones all took something off the table already and one or two of them even said so, though they didn't scream it from the bell tower. It's called risk mitigation. You get your money back plus a little profit. Whatever you keep on the table is free. If it works out, great. If it doesn't, no loss. Hell, even Redacted moved 3K XPY out. In spite of his posts proclaiming that smart people put all their eggs in one basket and telling people to hold. Why would he move XPY out if, as he says in his posts, people should keep all their eggs in one basket and hold XPY? Oh yeah, then there was that 3K sell order on Cryptsy not long after he got his XPY out. Was it him? Who knows but the trade volume has been so low that it is certainly one hell of a coincidence. Good to see another person in here with a good head on their shoulders. This is the archive proof of what he's saying about Redacted https://archive.today/4znIF one of their most prominent customers and somebody who tells everybody to buy these coins at ~$9, hold them and arbitrage them.

tldr: Paybase will have no debit cards, no bill pay, but there will be one feature nobody asked for. Will also "stabilize the market", whatever that means. https://hashtalk.org/topic/26168https://web.archive.org/web/20141228172159/https://hashtalk.org/topic/26168/paybase-version-1-paycoin-stabilityGAWCEO Admin Moderator Industry Innovator Paybase Version 1 (Paycoin Stability) Hello, I have had a lot of questions about bill pay being available tomorrow at launch, debit cards, etc. Please review the timeline we posted (let me know if you do not have the link and I will dig it up). Tomorrow is not about cool features, its about creating market stability and liquidity. The first version of Paybase is focused on allowing users to easily move between XPY and BTC (FIAT to follow). Send the others, etc. As the purchase of XPY start to flow through Paybase, it will stabilize the market. I know it does not sound exciting, but its the more important part to make all this work. The more confident people are in XPY, the more they will use it. The backend engine is what we spent the most time on. It leverages all our buying power then moves between exchanges to help level the price. Essentially, it works like an exchange, but with the function of creating market stability. Now that you got all that....here is the fun part: we are ahead of schedule on one of the most requested features. So we have some surprises in store for you. Tomorrow will be a day to remember. It will represent a monumental shift in the industry, it will make everyone in this industry have to work harder. Good is not good enough. If we want the world to use Paycoin, we have to give it something it does not have today! Wait, there is more - AMAZON!!! (or could be Nile, hard to say). Plugin or gift card? The ability to convert to BTC has to exist. Its important to give everyone choice. That establishes liquidity for those looking to come in and out. We would have moved directly to FIAT, but thats more complicated (MSB, etc) but will be coming shortly (per the original timeline). The most important part about this step is to create the base for al the merchants to tie in to. Its a cart and horse thing. There had to be something to link to merchants, so customers can use Paybase. I do not want to spill the beans, but there will be a merchant already integrated in to paybase at launch. The biggest river in the world

I did. I'm not usually one to complain, but.... There doesn't seem to be much point in having a blazingly fast network to support Paycoin if every little 200 or 300 hundred XPY withdrawal I try to do from Zencloud has to sit for hours and hours awaiting verification. #JustSaying That says 300, not 3000. I gave a possible reason for someone to withdraw without meaning to sell. Again, I don't know if that's what happened, I'm not redacted. Also, I made a post about gaw's pr and it hasn't got deleted yet: https://hashtalk.org/topic/26170/i-think-gaw-could-have-better-pr/8

Unfortunately, you missed the bigger point. The point wasn't that Redacted was moving XPY out of ZC for what appeared to be a sale. In fact, he would have to be foolish not to do so. Given his self proclaimed 30 years of working experience around FOREX trading desks, that is exactly what I would expect. NO ONE in finance with large paper gains just let's it ride. They take some off the table to lock in profits to mitigate their risk. The really offensive part was that he actually said "smart people DO keep all their eggs in one basket." On the surface, it would appear that he was doing one thing while actively encouraging others to do something else. Even if he just moved 3K XPY out to a personal wallet to hold, providing that type of advice to others is just irresponsible at best. Having said that, if you're taking financial advice from forums on the internet, one might say you're getting what you deserve.
