I don't think that religion is the main reason why people hate each other, it is the disrespect attitude that one showed them. Everyone has his or her opinion and own belief, I think everyone can be peacefully leave together even with differences, its just the way they socialize with people that has different belief, they tend to cast away people that are different, and that cast away will grow up with that same anger towards the people and it became a part of his life as he grow up.

But because you are not a Christian doesn't mean that you are an imbecile. No one will ever gun you down because u are a Muslim. But for Muslim's, the reverse is the case.

Racism in Sudan


Racism in Sudan is a complex matter due to the racial mixture of various populations. Sudanese Arabs are among the 600 tribes who live there, few times elements of their society view "blacks" with disfavor.[1][2] Sudan has been in the Arab League since 1956. Skin whitening is relatively common among some African ethnic groups.[3][better source needed]

According to a CBS news article published in 1999, slaves have been sold for US$50 apiece.[4] In September, 2000, the U.S. State Department alleged that "the Sudanese government's support of slavery and its continued military action which has resulted in numerous deaths are due in part to the victims' religious beliefs."[5] Jok Madut Jok, professor of History at Loyola Marymount University, states that the abduction of women and children of the south by north is slavery by any definition. The government of Sudan insists that the whole matter is no more than the traditional tribal feuding over resources.[6]

During the Second Sudanese Civil War people were taken into slavery; estimates of abductions range from 14,000 to 200,000. Abduction of Dinka women and children was common.[7]

The Darfur conflict has been described by some as a racial matter. Unlike the Southern Sudanese the Fur people are primarily Muslims so the conflict has been argued to be more ethnic rather than religious.[8] Although debates about water and land usage were also a factor.

Beginning in 1991 elders of the Zaghawa people of Sudan complained that they were victims of an intensifying Arab apartheid campaign.[9] Vukoni Lupa Lasaga has accused the Sudanese government of "deftly manipulat(ing) Arab solidarity" to carry out policies of apartheid and ethnic cleansing against non-Arabs in Darfur.[10] Alan Dershowitz has pointed to Sudan as an example of a government that deserves the appellation "apartheid,"[11] and former Canadian Minister of Justice Irwin Cotler has also criticized Sudan in similar terms.

Pakistani Local Government Advertises for Garbage Collectors – Only “Non-Muslims” Need Apply

A recent advertisement publicized has once again fanned anger among the religious minorities in Pakistan as the advertisement for the posts of sanitary workers calls for non-Muslim candidates only. This discriminatory ad was publicized by the Sindh government.

Expressing anger over the discriminatory ad, a prominent Pakistani Christian educationist Professor Anjum James Paul said that such advertisements were institutionalized religious discrimination. The recent advertisement puts forth job opportunities for car mechanic, laborer, in charge of maintenance and cleaners. However the advertisement also goes on to call only non-Muslim candidates for the position of cleaners.

“This wording is a flagrant violation of Article 26 of the Constitution of Pakistan, which, among the fundamental rights, explicitly speaks of ‘non-discrimination’ regarding the access to public places, towards all citizens”, Professor Anjum James stated.

Professor Anjum who also heads “Pakistan Minorities Teachers’ Association” (PMTA) also stated: “It is a discrimination carried out by the state. It is a shameful treatment reserved to religious minorities. According to the Constitution, all citizens have equal rights and duties. It is time to put an end to this discriminatory practice not only in social relations but also in state institutions and structures. The regional government of Sindh should also follow the disposition to reserve religious minorities 5% of the state seats available, in every order and degree, but it does not”.

Religious minorities are troubled by the religion based discrimination, on the other hand most of them refer to famous speech delivered by founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam who ensured equal rights to religious minorities in Pakistan.

Speaking on August 11, 1947 Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared in the Assembly that: “We are all citizens of the same State. We should keep this principle before us as our ideal. So one will discover that over the years Hindus will cease to be Hindu and Muslims will cease to be Muslims, not in the religious sense, because this is the personal faith of every individual, but in the political sense as citizens of the State”.

In a bid to ensure equal rights for non-Muslim Pakistanis, the civil society, social activists, rights campaigners and others are urging Pakistani government to bring about reforms in the constitution so as to curb religion based discrimination and prejudice hurled at the religious minorities.

I don't think so. The media is extremely biased towards the Muslims. Look at the recent Rohingya crisis. The media went ballistic after a few Rohingya fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar, claiming that the Burmese army is abusing them. But none of the mainstream channels reported the incident in the village of Ye Baw Kya (in Kha Maung Seik region) where more than 100 Hindus were killed by these same Rohingya.

We in the west should apply the same law to them. For not to be hipocrite they should pay a special very high tax for us not to kill them.

Paying the Jizya offers only temporary protection. There is no guarantee that the non-Muslim family is safe from the preying eyes of the Muslims. At any point of time, the women (and young boys) can be abducted to the harems, and the males can be asked to join the janissary corps. This is a way of indirectly forcing the non-Muslims to accept Islam.
