Inside the head of Netfilx executive attempting to compete with 'free' content. * Netflex actually like the fact that users have been used to getting free content online. It means that consumers are educated about online services * The concept of free, from an interesting angle: water comes out of a tap free, but people still buy billions of bottles of water. * Disruption of torrents is essential for their business model - once consumers know how to get online content, but then they are blocked from getting it, Netflix can step in and benefit: “We offer a simpler and more immediate alternative to finding a torrent,” * Critical mass is essential for their business model. They start with a few online shows, as markets grow they buy more shows using critical mass as a negotiating factor when negotiating from rights holders. http://torrentfreak.com/netflix-chief-piracy-prepared-internet-users-for-us-150605/

Dev, I understand that you are busy with your job, but how are these push notifications relevant to torrenting? Hello, I have been very busy with my job but this project is far from abandoned. I wanted to post on thread once push notification is ready with some design fixed in client from user reported problem. Our push notification will support all mobile OS (Android, iOS) including Desktop (Chrome, Firefox, Safari/Mac OS X). Regards, vTorrent Here's some screenshot of push notification working example. I can do that in my sleep. This shows us nothing. Also makes us worried you can't deliver as you ignore our questions

Nope, you cant. But it is indeed child's play, in comparison to the real intent/goals behind this project. Focus should be on the actual necessary steps to achieve the goals of this project. Bells and whistles should come after a minimum viable product. This does not qualify as an MVP because at the current state of the project is is essentially (on the surface) a copy of other qt-clients already developed. I only hold this coin for the mere potential behind the concept, not because of a developer who has proved his worth.

I actually appreciate that he hasn't done any unnecessary fluff promotion as it probably means he's focused on his real world life commitments & vTorrent project, and isn't the type of person who wastes his time. I want to see the torrent features as much as the next guy but right now this is the moment where the investors assume RISK, in the hope of future REWARD. To complain is pointless, we all know the situation, and there wasn't an ICO, and afaik the premine coins haven't been dumped, so that leads me to conclude that vTorrent dev's only reward will be increased price, like the rest of us. We're all assuming risk, dev with his time spent so far, and investors who bought coins.

I own a decent stake in this project. I'm being patient. Dev had the chance to steal my coins when I emailed him my private wallet and password but instead took the time to fix the wallet lock issue. He obviously has some good in him all that is required is to be patient.

I believe the servers of Popcorn time were once taken down. They voiced their concerns, and said they were going for full decentralisation in the future. They have become somewhat more decentralised iirc. But, with magnets inside a blockchain, they can become fully untouchable.

Why don't the dev team up with somebody? Sure alone working is awful and long, and probably frustrating. There are plenty of intelligent and good developers around here that can help, and it could definitely speed up the process. I`m waiting to invest in it for 2 months now, but i`m still undecided, after i decide i`ll invest about 0.2 BTC or possibly more, so you have to show me real proof and progress dev

If he can go solo, then he can also go in team, and its much faster, because even though he puts effort into his solo dev, he barely makes progress. I`m staying here for 2 months and havent seen any change since. With a good dev team you could see significant changes by every week.

True. I've studied the git and its a tell all sign. This project was a designed p&d with a good idea. No one is able to achieve this today unfortunately..Maybe in the near future

Git tells you nothing if the work is done locally and you are either working alone or within a close team. Also, why would you give others your ideas and code before you are ready to release?

This is different, instead of most scamdevs, this dev has sunk in many hours. He has put up with it for months, and had multiple chances to cash out and run. The latter didn't happen.
He is just a very slow(busy) dev, which is also somewhat worrysome tbh. Worries that the project will be forgotten before it is finished. Lately a lot of piracy stories have made the news, this is the time to release(if the client was ready).
Message to the dev: Please focus all resources on the torrent implementation. That is the primary objective, that is what makes or breaks this coin. Window resizing, notifications , etc are all secondairy.
