Deleting the mncache.dat file never worked, wallet keeps crashing for me on Windows 8.1 x64. What's the latest available version of the wallet? The OP is kinda outdated I believe.

In Win 7 it crashes for me on startup multiple times until eventually it works - but then its stable lol

Is it possible to get a wallet that you don't have to click it over 20 times to get started?

Beyond frustrating.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

This is in the works, we are introducing a slew of new updates for the core wallet, but also bringing a new wallet altogether. It is taking time (expect a week or three more to pass before it is made public) because i am having to learn to get along with a new language (Python).

For BN functions you will still be stuck with the core wallet , until likely the update after this when I am more confident in my abilities with python. Someone else has promised to look into java , but that is beyond me at the moment.

Already above i posted a first look at  our electrum port

The team is small, with a lot of things to be done, but we will deliver.

I know you guys are working hard, KUDOS for that! Smiley

My only concern is: Are my coins 100% safe? Because right now it crashes like 10 times before it actually opens.

Yes your coins are safe. If you look inside your data folder, you will see a new folder called "backups", everytime you use your wallet, a automatic back up is created to avoid catastrophic loss. Keep a copy of one of these on a separate device and you'll be right as rain.

Also in terms of a code perspective, noone will ever steal your coins, we may not look it but we keep a tight grip on repo access. Only 5 people have access of which only tlc and I really commit much to it.

So to set up 5 BNs on 1 VPN, I should configure ports in that way ?

1st BN , port=8877 , rpcport=8878

2nd BN, port=8876 , rpcport=8879

3rd BN, port=8875 , rpcport=8880

4th BN, port=8874 , rpcport=8881

5th BN, port=8873 , rpcport=8882

....

port decreasing, rpcport increasing to make it simple, I got it right ?

1st BN , listen=8877 , rpcport=8878

2nd BN, listen=0 , rpcport=8879

3rd BN, listen=0  , rpcport=8880

4th BN, listen=0  , rpcport=8881

5th BN, listen=0  , rpcport=8882

is how most are doing it. so yeah maybe try your way and tell us the results.

I think it's port, not listen ], and must be put something on port=

As always it was more complicated than I thought,in my case vps ports (rpc and listen ports) had to be configured exactly opposite to ports in local wallet that starts these banknodes

VPS BN PORTS

1st BN, port=8877 , rpcport=8878

2nd BN, port=8876 , rpcport=8879

3rd BN, port=8875 , rpcport=8880

4th BN, port=8874 , rpcport=8881

5th BN, port=8873 , rpcport=8882

6th BN, port=8872 , rpcport=8883

...

LOCAL BN PORTS

1st BN, port=8878 , rpcport=8877

2nd BN, port=8879 , rpcport=8876

3rd BN, port=8880 , rpcport=8875

4th BN, port=8881 , rpcport=8874

5th BN, port=8882 , rpcport=8873

6th BN, port=8883 , rpcport=8872

...

6th BN, port=8883 , rpcport=8872

...

not sure whats going on there

basically for every Bn of mine , on the server i specify a rpc port. that is the port i connect to to control it. so for example 197.47.47.21 is y BN server with rpc port 2345

i connect to it by using 197.47.47.21:2345 in my local wallet

I don't have a bloody idea how it works and how it should be, the only thing I know is how it has worked for me.  Cheesy
Because of it, I was late at least 5 days and frustrated enough to consider sell all the coins off, without some help I couldn't make it.

What I'm sure is, the new wallet works differently than before and starting Banknodes with Windows wallet (remotely or locally) have a few bugs :

- if it works like in SLING, NTRN, BTX, PHARMA ... and many more then it should be unlocked first in graphical menu (in debug console didn't worked) or it will get "could not allocate vin for collateral address"

- trying to start it with paired ports excactly the same in vps and local bn wallet all it give me was "could not connet to ... "

I bet that using using BN in local Win wallet wil disconnect itself from time to time after few hours just like in another coin's wallet.

Help screen made a little more succinct, pending more content to put directly into it.

Probably still far too much technobabble in there for Granny Public, but IQ's are dropping rapidly with each generation, Granny might make more sense of it than her grandson/daughter Jo.

Nah, lol, that has nothing to do with the wallet. You need to run a check on your system.

Start with the basics like starting afresh with only your wallet, if this is not useful check on things like your PC time etc.

Great!! I a rebasing the rc branch to the latest changes on BTC main branch. This will likely be one of the last updates to the core before we start migrating to python.

The electrum client is working, but i can't seem to get the server running.

bitcreditj is also in the works, though for now it only gets attention when i am tired of c++ and python.

our colored coins wallet has already seen some action but i need to work on python-bitcoinlib a bit more before we can move forward. The colored wallet is dependent on electrum server as well so it's pretty high on the to-do list.

Hash dropping off the network causing slow blocks.

This is another reason we need SmartSig PoW.

What does "no block source available" mean then?

Not trying to be a pain, just I have never had these issues with any other wallets I have had.

It means that your wallet is disconnected from the network

Not to worry , questions are good, enquiry helps both you and I.

Most of the little issues will hopefully be dealt with this time.
