worksize 256: ~180 kh/s
worksize 128: ~190 kh/s
worksize 64: ~192.5 kh/s

Yea, I changed my post. How many threads is that? Still the 6144?

yes, using 6144, cant find something that do better then that on my cards

How many stales are you getting with that though? Whenever I use 6144, I get about 10% stales.
If the rejects start to shoot up, dropping intensity by 1 usually cures it. Of course the hashrate drops but you'll probably end up submitting more valid shares.

The whole relationship between the different variables, the different hardware, and the drivers seems quite a mess...

Higher than oz?

And ckolivas, usually the drop in intensity is more detrimental than change in threads. It's why I was curious.

ckolivas, could you also set a user-definable parameter to adjust the difficulty needed for submitting a share?

There's a tipping point and it's very much dependent on hardware. What works on one gpu/sdk/driver combo may be meaningless on another. I fought with it for a while to find the sweet spot for my 7970s with my drivers...

Instead of reading off the difficulty from the pool? I guess so... but not right now.

win32: http://www.mediafire.com/?99lf1947fg0gdny

Includes commit g1711b4e, allowing up to intensity 20. There was another commit, but I'll rebuild it when enough has been changed.

yah thats weird if i set mine to 14 it gets tons of rejects what card and settings were you using??

i use 2*6770, but only testing on 1, i use
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o http://****:**** -u ** -p ** --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 6144 -I 14 -g 1

and O/C is set to 950/1300

ok, getting 10+ kh/s more with worksize 128 instead of 256

worksize 64 doesn't seem to increase speed under any combo, so thats a no go. Must.... tinker.... MOAWR.

It should also note that I'm basing my speeds off AVG after about 20 seconds. I'm just trying to get the settings into a close ballpark before I do long term stability.

i have just trying worksize  64, and i got more speed now

worksize 256: ~180 kh/s
worksize 128: ~190 kh/s
worksize 64: ~192.5 kh/s

with the new, i have set the -I to 16, and i get 210, with almost 0 stales, reaper could get 210 MAX, with 10% stales, this is soo goood!

Yup, increase in intensity certainly helped. Now at 338 at 16 and 340 at 17. At 18, kh/s jumps around a lot.

Time is averaged over 5 seconds, and at those high intensities the threads wont report in for over 5 seconds potentially so you'll get serious aliasing artefacts.

Holy shit my 6850 pulled 207kh/s without an overclock with just intensity 14. I'll add a document with my settings for my 6850 and 5770 in a few.

Also catalyst 12.6 & sdk 2.6 are working fine for me now, weird but I'll take it.

I tried concurrency 3200 and 6144(better), any others I should try?

I am getting 369 average on 5870 (only one card in system) with clock 850/1200 on Windows 7, 64 bit, aero enabled.

Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 6144 -g 1 -I 16 --url
http://notroll.in:6332 --userpass xxx:xxxx

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize that each pool sends its difficulty requirement to the miner. Just when I was mining with P2Pool (Bitcoin), it would send difficulty 1 shares to my local P2Pool node even though the P2Pool share difficulty is much higher.

Changed my 6850s core to 800 and now its pulling 220kh/s. Saddly I had to go leave so I left it at that. I'm gonna see how far I can go when I get back, that's already more then what I got with reaper at only a 50mhz overclock.

Sorry typos on my phone

and 450Khash on single card A:169 R:2 is ok tho

I'm rather pleased with this Cheesy
