If other cards like intensity 14, then I should change the scale.

In Reaper, 7970s would ONLY run well using 13 Intensity, whereas 5/6xxx cards benefited from up to 19 for dedicated rigs and saw huge performance increases at higher intensities.....

<EDIT>
Reaper Aggression = CGMiner Intensity ?
They're equivalent at the moment, but 14 is the max allowed in the code. If you want to bump it up, edit miner.h and look for:

#define MAX_INTENSITY 14
#define _MAX_INTENSITY_STR "14"

and change those 14s to 20 or something.

Oh yes and driver 12.6 worked the least worst on my 7970s, though it was truly easy to crash with the wrong settings so I rebooted literally dozens of times...

I was actually surprised after your initial warning, as I only crashed 1 out of 5 rigs due to low voltage, as I am still trying to conserve as much power as possible and everything is undervolted and memory-underclocked.

I found it smooth.....

Right, well underlined... Memory speed affects hashrate a lot with ltc mining. I ran memory at default speeds which meant I also had to turn my gpu engine overclock speeds down slightly to not crash.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, fuck head.....

Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with my LTC Mining Stats before posting something to make yourself look even more stupid than you already do.

Okay I updated the git tree to allow intensities up to 20. Bad idea on 7970, perhaps it's quite ok on 5/6xxx.

I can't wait to try with the higher intensities.

My results: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApTGDgpPOXefdHpKRUtIeHJqd3M1MlNMd2hYblRBY1E

So far, for my setup on a 5870(850/1200) (win7,cat 12.4, app 2.6) works best with:
worksize 128   gap 2   thread 6144   i 14   -g 1   at 318kh/s

yah thats weird if i set mine to 14 it gets tons of rejects what card and settings were you using??

i use 2*6770, but only testing on 1, i use
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o http://****:**** -u ** -p ** --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 6144 -I 14 -g 1

and O/C is set to 950/1300

ok, getting 10+ kh/s more with worksize 128 instead of 256

Now we're talking. Good work. Hopefully there's more headroom left.

To the haters: nothing wrong with setting the bar high. You'd all be unhappy if ckolivas released a miner that was slower or the same speed as reaper. Don't be hypocrites.

headroom left?   your comparing to reaper?   Oh yah, your the guy that wanted his btc back.    might have to use the ignore button...

worksize 64 doesn't seem to increase speed under any combo, so thats a no go. Must.... tinker.... MOAWR.

edit: worksize 64 and 8192 threads seems to be the winner, hitting a high of 322.

It should also note that I'm basing my speeds off AVG after about 20 seconds. I'm just trying to get the settings into a close ballpark before I do long term stability.

How many stales are you getting with that though? Whenever I use 6144, I get about 10% stales.
