excuse the solidcoin icon too thats from way back one question do you have share threads 18 default i know thats what i have in reaper im not a programer so was just wondering Share threads have nothing to do with cgminer's functioning.

What were your settings?
litecoin.conf: worksize 256 aggression 13 threads_per_gpu 5 cpu_mining_threads 0 sharethreads 18 lookup_gap 2 gpu_thread_concurrency 10240 reaper.conf: kernel reaper.cl save_binaries yes enable_graceful_shutdown yes long_polling yes
platform 1 device 0
mine litecoin Using reaper my 5870(cypress) with 1GB in windows 7, 64 any gpu_thread_concurrency over 6144 , just reduces hash speed to ~20. @ gpu_thread_concurrency 6144, it gives me 368kH/s I dont know how others able to get 400+ on 5000 series with 12.6 driver. LTC buffer size : 384MB shown in reaper seems controlling hash rate. Increasing gpu_thread_concurrency , increases LTC buffer size

BTW don't try to use this git tree code for regular bitcoin mining as it's likely broken for now.

Funny, anything above 6144 reduces hash rate, while anything below 6144 increases hash rate, but all r stales only, nothing is valid.
Always using aggression 16 only

Tried with Cgminer, i never used cgminer before, used this command line arguments & getting 346 MH/s cgminer.exe --url http://notroll.in:6332 --userpass xxxx:xxx -I 9 It seems Cgminer reporting in MH/s while reaper in kH/s Increased I to 12 & see same 345 Mh/s

Don't go over intensity 13. Other than that, you're all on your own to experiment. It is slightly different to raper[sic] so it will need different parameters.
why not over 13?, if i set mine to 14 i get more kh/s and shares then i do on 13, and i do not get more stales while setting at 14 ?

i use 2*6770, but only testing on 1, i use cgminer --scrypt -o http://****:**** -u ** -p ** --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 6144 -I 14 -g 1
and O/C is set to 950/1300

I'm getting 9 times lower speed with it, than with reaper. 21 vs 190 kh/s. Tried command line above and as well with my thread-concurrency.

My hash rates look good...but is Solo Mining broken by chance ? .........either that, or my luck just took a huge turn for the worst, especially considering the hashing capabilities I have at the moment...lol
<EDIT> ..and of course, as soon as I return back to my miners after posting this, I get a block...LOL
Everything looks good over here.
What I have noticed: - 5/6xxx Cards like -I 14 - 7970 does not like Intensity over 13. - Thread_concurrency of 4096 and LESS (by either 512 or 1024 increments) as low as 2048 seem to work well for anything from a 5770 to a 6950.

For those reporting lower hash rates with cgminer vs reaper - I thought it had already been established that the hash rate self-reported by cgminer is not directly comparable to the hash rate self-reported by reaper (i.e. you can't just compare the hash rates on the screen and conclude that one is faster than the other).
To compare speed you have to compare share submission rates, or compare the hash rate reported by your pool, which is calculated based on your share submission rate.

Anything *might* be broken still at this early stage. You tell me how often you'd get a block and whether it's about right or not. If other cards like intensity 14, then I should change the scale.

If other cards like intensity 14, then I should change the scale.
In Reaper, 7970s would ONLY run well using 13 Intensity, whereas 5/6xxx cards benefited from up to 19 for dedicated rigs and saw huge performance increases at higher intensities..... <EDIT> Reaper Aggression = CGMiner Intensity ?

Hmm, 12.2CCC and 2.5SDK here, and at intensity 13 my 5770 gets "sick" after awhile, and at intensity 14 cgminer crashes. Also I bluescreened doing intensity 13 on my 6850, and got error code 0x3b. I'm gonna try 12.6 again
