I have no preference and would be happy to donate to a fund.
I would recommend that part of the transaction fees go to a development fund.
Otherwise, anytime a BE or anything needs funded you have to request BTC from
the community and, only a few contribute. A TX spreads the cost evenly across all
users sending TXs

I agree you 100%.  That will most likely be implemented in the new wallets.  I think is most fair thing to do as you just said only few contribute.  This would allow for continued development, pay for services, servers, web hosting, anything that may be required.  It would not be fair for the same individuals to always donate their funds while everyone gets the benefit.  No different than devs should be expected to work for free while everyone reaps the benefits of their hardwork.  I hope we can gain the support of the community moving forward and try to get CON back on track and moving forward.  There currently has been 10k CON donated thus far so its a start.

Question: For the community - So does Paycon (Con) -
Newbie account - speak for the community or has he just
self appointed himself to stir the pot. I feel I have a right to
ask since I have been with Paycon for a long time and, am in the
top 5 holders.

and, you just happen to be a member of Team FLY who wants to help himself to another premine... for doing nothing
Full disclosure and all..
Full disclosure - if CON decided to use Vegas' services, I would forward
any pre-mine I received to to the CON community development wallet. I have
plenty of CON already. You are sure big on guilt by association. Never saw
your answer as to whether you own any CON though.

So now the 10% suggested pre-mine is down to what 4% or so.

or..we collect that 0.65BTC and moving forward without any premine. Wink

YES lets raise that money so that junkie can get his next hit of crack !

Are you really that gullable or should I just call you muudafuuda/cresty ? lol

Do you mind if I create a new account so I can con you aswell ? rolf

"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

Even though I wont be part of the development project, I will help any way I can. I will not accept any funds. I just want to see CON continue. Its a great project, started by a great man. My only concern is that donations DO NOT work. They have never worked in the past and they wont work now. So I would suggest a "plan B"

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Donations do not work in Crypto, I've seen it many many times.

What exactly costs 0.65BTC ~500US$??
A new code base and new wallet design shouldnt be so expensive.

~CryptCo

Edit:
You should ask for BTC donations ONLY instead of CON and BTC.
I dont wanna see CON dumped for the funding.

To be clear, any coin that Vegasguy or any of his team contribute development to will be delisted from Cryptopia, this is a security risk we will not compromise on. A summary of the reasons for this can be found here:

Implementing a new code while keeping the existing chain, adding in the TX fees for the dev fund, reworking reward structure and new wallet design. Adding in the newer gitian capabilities for wallet building.

How much will you charge for a completely new wallet?

The current code is very out dated with issues causing fluctuations of 30-90% orphans. It uses an old Bitcoin core. We are wanting to eliminate the orphans issue, bring in newer features and update to later Bitcoin core.

I'm all for fixing the orphan issue and adding new features.

As far as updating bitcoin core, it was my understanding that no one has modified any of the newer bitcoin core versions for POS yet.  Are you saying that CON is going to achieve that and be the first POS with a newer version of Bitcoin core?

If not, what version are you planning on updating to?

I figure answers to these questions would be good for the community to know before they donate funds for updating the wallet.

Actually, that cost is in the ballpark.
http://thealtcoinguys.com/coin-packages/

As for the orphan issue? Maybe has to do with the stack amounts for staking?
I had them in stacks of 450 and got mucho orphans. Re-stacked into 900 stacks
and most of the orphans disappeared. So, I think it may have to do with the stacking
amounts, more than to do with wallet issues. 450 stacks worked fine up to the beginning
of the year. Probably more larger stacks competing against smaller ones.

Peace, Dennis

That packages are only a renaming. We need a clean code directly for PayCon's blockchain. Our code is a mess so not so easy to upgrade it, that is why we need a better one for the future. Don't forget the high resource requirements. That's a problem too. We want to make good base, build a renewed brand with new logo, give clear purpose and start a new era.

The orphans issue..I tried every settings at couple of machine, low and higher blocksize but I can't eliminate to orphans completely. It's impossible. Somebody has much higher income than other's depends on settings so we need to change that. It's not fair.

The stake size has nothing to do with the orphan issue. I have mined and checked out many/most of muddafudda's clones and they ALL have this problem.

Look up, MEME, GLX, STARcoin, LK7 and/or 90% of craptsy's inhouse shyte offerings and you'll see more of the same. This was done by design.

Mind if I ask, what made you decide to buy into this dead ponzi ?

So you want to take a snapshot of the chain and make it redeemable into a new Blockchain ?? How to handle the swap?

~CryptCo

He would be finish within 24-48 hours..so that's a simple clone, nothing unique. That 0.35BTC is a LOT for this. We have nodes, our new ANN design is ready, new logo is done, we can compile the wallets, we have a web-programmer/designer for the new website, so we don't want to pay for these things.
Only what we need is a GOOD programmer who can make perfect source code with a simple fork. We won't swap it if not necessary.

A swap would be necessary, we need to leave the bulky CON to rest in peace, but i would only like to see one if it's done in a good way, like using a chain parsing method, that makes it fair and transparent, allowing people to redeem their coins without deadlines.
