The best way is to align against Node01:
Start your wallets like that (in command line): Windows: AmberCoin-Qt.exe -connect=ambercoin01.mooo.com Linux: ./AmberCoind -connect=ambercoin01.mooo.com
When it syncs - start staking.
RunAsAdmin([path-to]AmberCoin-Qt.exe -connect=ambercoin01.mooo.com) No sync nor ambercoin01.mooo.com nor 108.61.173.201(ambercoin01.mooo.com) - 286 blocks remaining. 1 connection. Pinging ambercoin01.mooo.com [108.61.173.201] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 108.61.173.201: bytes=32 time=37ms TTL=116 And now wallet offline, 0 connections. Even if command line this node given (or through AmberCoin.conf). Second wallet, untouched, staking with 1-2 connections, time@time droping offline for some time. amber.suprnova.cc is down too. did you delete everything except wallet.dat?

hot asphalt... still
however, I've got the lads down under at cryptopia informed and smacked the most important info into their forum plus got on their nerves on the trollbox, as at least their explorer and supposedly their wallet are also stuck on the fork... or lagging like 6000+ blocks behind... however, they are informed. I think in general it's not the worst decision to just don't tx atm. (at least I'm not trigger happy with txing anything AMBER anywhere) untill that forkery has been cooled down...

cryptsy also seems to have swayed over to the old chain ...at least my transaction from a couple hours earlier hasnt made it to the current chain and - all explorers are as well messed up as it seems - at least it shows up with no confirmation on the old, so that should become invalid as well... I go and give them a heads up on the situation now... ... (all amber tx'ed before the fork ) sometimes it takes only a few posts and I will prove myself wrong... edit: ok, just dropped cryptsy helpdesk a ticket, so if they're not already aware of the problem (which I suppose not, as their wallet status is ok), it's just a matter of time until they gain insight... however I've got that eerie feeling in my guts, telling me there might be even a few chains around growing seperately... curious network hasrates and obviously very different oppinions of what the current block height might actually be is displayed @ various pools...

...my 3 wallets seem to agree upon 592807 atm... and have about same amt. connections edit: and again wrong (clear sign to get some sleep now), one wallet as well is somewhere at 592645, and looking in detail, every peer seems to be on another height, meh... everyone happily staking blocks into existence, each on a separate fork of course ...omg, do not hope so... I think there's nothing I could do on my end, but closing my wallets now and leave em in peace for the moment... I hate wallets bloathed by gazillions of orphaned blocks anyway

Hey guys thought I might help someone with sharing my experience upgrading. I downloaded the 3.0.2 wallet as soon as it posted I saved my wallet.dat file in a separate place. I closed Ambercoin and just installed over, and walla it worked fine. Then I noticed I was staking like crazy it was great, then they updated to 3.0.3. I did same thing installed over and it worked fine, except all my staked coins were gone Then the next day I think I noticed I had no active connections, checked here and saw it blew up like 5 pages in one day. Found a command line way to open Ambercoin it didn;t do anything, I found I could download the DB i did that and copied it over my existing wallet files. When It opened I had lost nearly all my coins, had a mini panic attack. Read some more and found to open Help, Debug, then console tab, you can type help for a list of commands which is handy. type repairwallet it stated it found a discrepency of the missing coins. Yeah I was happy. I closed the debug window but still no coins. Confusion set in... I did it again Help, Debug, console tab, and I typed repairwallet again. This time it said it found no discrepancies. I was scared, but I closed it and my coins appeared. Now its back to functioning perfectly. Hope this helps

Made wallet.dat backup, then I just installed the new wallet 3.0.0.3 over the old one.
Everything was running fine until i re-startet my wallet then it was stuck syncing (around 700 blocks left).
Now i deleted everything exept wallet.dat and let it sync.

You might want to download the DB AmberCoinDev put up to make sure you're on the correct fork. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=944408.msg13078455#msg13078455Looks like it´s working well syncing from ground up

While BlockExplorers are down to make sure that you are on a correct chain do the following:
1. Type "getblockbynumber 593454" command in console (Help->Debug->Console)
2. Find line "proofhash": { "proofhash" : "0000000006409c287dbfdafe66a9134b1a1ee505c27efb7fac13441d1e6837ab", }
3. Make sure your hash of block No593454 is the same.

It seems I'm on the right chain, however staking generates only 0.1-0.8 Amber blocks that all are generated, but not accepted. This since 24h and I have at least 3-4 such blocks per hour.

I followed the directions to start the wallet connecting to ambercoin01.mooo.com. The wallet worked fine then something went wrong. I lost all connections. I tried to restart the wallet and it does not connect to any nodes. Is ambercoin01.mooo.com down? When I try getblockbynumber 594177 I get an out of range -1 response.

Has anything been mentioned by the dev about a possible payout date? We are now 2 months late and I know many of us would be happy even with an approximate guesstimate at this point....

How can you have 16 connections? Did you start wallet with connect=ambercoin.mooo.com? Or did you leave all the other nodes in you conf file?
