The 2.3 wallet is still a huge memory hog, it eats up 2.6 Mb of my memory when staking. I have 8 Gb of memory, which means it will crash sooner or later (usually during the night).  Undecided

I have to run other wallets too on the same computer, they use around 500 Mb when staking, why is the CBX wallet using more than five times as much?  Huh

I really hope you can give priority to this issue.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

There does appear to be a small memory leak somewhere, in ~8 hours the staking wallet has consumed 200mb of extra ram and is slowly increasing, less of an issue on a desktop PC but I'm going to have to restart the daemon every day on my raspberry PI to stop it falling over...

I try best effort to solve some memory issue and leak.
Maybe you could send me the debug log.

Hey,
You should try dev version on your Pi:
Go in CBX folder (the git that you clone)
Type:
git checkout dev
git pull

Than compile it.
I would be happy to have return of my test version on a Pi, if you don't mind

Good news regarding the memory usage issue guys. Alex gave me a test build that is stable at 450MB on my system (unlocked and staking). My memory usage with previous Vault was over 1,000 MB so quite an improvement.

It's looking good here too, i'm not staking with my full (live) wallet on the dev branch but memory usage with my dev wallet seems noticibly better on the Raspberry Pi

The build is not compiled and published yet but will be shortly; 50% less memory usage on my machine.

hi,
one more time with new update, the wallet stars over again... (under windows 10)
the process does not start..

  Sad

Not sure I understand, can you please explain more?

nothing happens when I launch CryptoBullion-qt.exe

Try running the .exe from the command prompt, you will get an error message if it is crashing out that will help diagnose the problem Smiley

thanks for reply

but still the same..
nothing happens when i execute  CryptoBullion-qt.exe from ms-dos cmd or powershell cmd..

Is this a brand new install?
v2.3?

Upgrade from?

upgraded from 2.1.1 if i remember well

You mean this?:

Quote
CryptoBullion: Error initializing database environment G:\CryptoBullion! To recover, BACKUP THAT DIRECTORY, then remove everything from it except for wallet.dat.

Is has been a long time since I last used the daemon so I was not sure it was supposed to work with the same datadir as qt.

Great news! Looking forward to the update! There sure must have been a leak, now it is on 1,8 Gb, but it froze up on 2,6 last night, if you get a stable 450 Mb usage then that sounds very healthy!

Pre-release v2.3.1
Hello guys, here is the pre-release, please read carefully.
It's still in test, we do not test during very long time and not in every computer/OS, so pelase keep it mind. It may be better but it not means it will be better at all.
Please report me all problems and if possible join debug.log.
You can PM when you want or post here.

DELETE peers.dat file of your CBX folder (%appdata%/CryptoBullion for windows, ~/Library/App Support/CryptoBullion/ for mac os x and ~/.CryptoBullion for Linux).
Then you can launch it Smiley

Here is the link of the MEGA directory where is stored pre-release:
https://mega.nz/#F!uc8y2BjJ!hwFF9wVE_vks41CcK18uQw

Please take the one you need.
Any questions feel free Smiley

Report every problems you have Smiley

Hello,
Maximum stakable input is 500, if you have an input of 1k cbx, the first stake will use the 1k to stake but it will be devided in 2 inputs in your wallet, so after that "big stake" of 1k CBX, you will stake 500 cbx each time.
So technically you gonna earn twice more

Good afternoon.

I'm sure it's a lost cause, but have any of the CBX powers that be contacted anyone at Cryptsy regarding the wallet and withdrawals (If there is anyone left to be in touch with)? I have a few CBX on there and don't want them to go to waste...

Thanks!
